I really like the adrena 6'11" m+ and Phenix k2 714 for super flukes

Re: NRX+ 842c
I have the conquest and glx 842c's and the glx has a little softer tip and about 1" longer handle. If I had to pay msrp for them I'd buy a glx. I don't feel the conquest is 200$ better. I would love to try the original nrx and + 842. They're my favorite river smallmouth rods

Re: Upgrade time. Aldebaran or Metanium or one of each?
My alde 30 hg just feels hollow and cheap. I put new gears and same deal. I think it's so light you just feel everything inside and casting distance is not very good. I much prefer my metanium 150 B's and they cast light lures well

Re: NRX 873C CRR Balance (tip-heaviness)
Can't speak to 873c CRR, but I have these NRX 842c 2x 893c 894c 822s SYR NRX+ 821s NRR They are all noticeably tip heavy with any reel I've ever put on them with the newer NRX+ 821s being by far the least offensive. TackleTour taught me long ago about the value of putting a couple coins into chair ...

Re: Jackal Break Blade/Dera Break
I have some in 3/8 and 1/2 and they are different size profile and blades. I like the jackhammer better the break blade doesn't hold up as well

Re: New Poison Adrena
I've used my 6'11" for spinnerbaits and it did great with the war eagle screaming eagle 1/2oz smaller profile bait. I don't like it for bigger blades with a lot of drag like a Mann's ti classic if that makes sense

Re: Casting reel for light duty SmallMouth fishing
I fish this way and have many reels for this my favorites are jdm metanium b and steez sv tw. But I also have a curaeo 70 mgl, alphas tw sv, antries70 , alphas sv and alde mgl 30 all work with the right rods and 8 or 10lb fluro. I'd suggest the alphas sv tw for the best value. I can bomb cast keitec...

Re: Opinions Only Fully Subjective Input, Dobyns Champ line vs Megabass Levante
You will find a better value outside of the Levante line imo. You can probably get an Orochi XXX from Japan for about the same money, and there are some good sticks in that line. Heck, some of the P5 Destroyers for about $330 after shipping right now. The dollar is doing us favors for sure. Also, t...

Re: Shimano Curado 7’6” Light Spinning Rod
I have the 7'6" light zodias. I bought it just for that. Its fun to use. I also use it for when the river is low and clear for bomb casting ned rigs and 2.8 keitechs
