Re: Spool pin remover - Best you've used?
Of course I've been wanting to order a SLP Driver no 4 for a while now, but $70 for a screwdriver...dang. Maybe I will just bite the bullet and grab both. If I amortize the cost across my all my Daiwa's it would only work out to a few dollars a reel  Try a Wiha 4mm, fits the Daiwa screws perfe...

Re: Second best CF Daiwa handle after RCS
To me, the RCS/Daiwa are very similar, may even be same handle with different marketing. I've also got a few ZPI's and Bassart's, which are all nice. I picked up a few CF's off ebay from the guy in Ukraine - sdscustom. They are... usable, I guess is the best I can say. They flex more than the RCS/Di...

Re: Spool pin remover - Best you've used?
I bought the Boca pliers first - they work but that last second pop always has me fearing damaging the shaft or spool, and I never use them anymore. I have both versions of the hedgehog and they both work fine. The SLP looks nice but really don't want/need to spend another $60 or so when i have 3 no...

Re: RC001/RC002 suggests uses...
Did some spool swapping today - interestingly the RC's don't fit in the Steez A very well, there is a definite rub going on. It's not a spool dimension issue, so I can only assume the fixed inductor is just a bit too long. Not sure if there are shims or other issue I will look closer later. So I put...

Re: RC001/RC002 suggests uses...
Thanks all good info, so I won't need to restrict these to certain applications, that's good to hear. Would like to use the 002 MJR in the Ito since it matches so nice, so will look to move that reel to another setup - typically I'm using 16lb sniper or 15lb Mean Green on the 734C so I don't think i...

RC001/RC002 suggests uses...
So, in my recent Buyee/Japan purchasing spree's, I've wound up with a few ZPI RC Spools - 2 RC001's and a RC-002. I picked up a RR 001 first here, then found a Blue 001 to match a Blue Personal Order, then found an MJR 002 to match my Ito. Now I just have to figure out the best uses for them. From w...

Re: Shipping from Japan
Typically 3-4 days now that most sites are using FexEx, however I currently have a package in US Customs Hold b/c Buyee shipping wasn't clear with the description on the Customs forms and Customs is reading it as "Wildlife parts" instead of Fishing reel parts (translation issue maybe, not sure) so t...

Re: Got a Megabass TD Ito help me validate my buy!
I also picked one up of the Japan sites recently... probably paid too much but you don't find Left Hand versions practically NIB much anymore. Can't decide what I'm going to do with it. Mostly throwing TD-Z variants (Type R, 100ML, 103ML, and a few Personal Orders) and OG Steez's on various setups. ...

Re: Shimano Exsence vs Daiwa Certate LT
Please do! That would be an interesting combo as my dream setup of a Steez AGS 7'6" and Exist 19 is exactly that... a dream. :) That 76MML Steez AGS/Exist 19 is indeed a dream combo - I thoroughly enjoy mine. The Megabass Flyssa paired up with the 19 Certate is also an incredible combo. I've been f...

Re: Pixzilla Parts List
Funny this came back up, I've been looking at a Liberto Pixy Red and thinking about picking it up ;). Doeeeeet! I keep telling myself I have enough when one pops up, it sells and I'm filled with regret. So now I set my standards high for condition but just gonna collect them all. Yeah I grabbed it,...

Re: aftermarket spool for skipping in older Daiwa reel?
OK sounds like I will try the Zillion SV G1 for now and keep an eye out for a SV103 or SS SV spool. I really thought one of the ZPI's would be the recommendation, shows what I know lol. Also curious in general about the IS63 stock spool - IS63 is essentially a tuned OG Steez as I understand, and all...

aftermarket spool for skipping in older Daiwa reel?
Looking to setup either an Original Steez or maybe a Megabass IS63, or TD-Z even for skipping jigs etc around docks and cover... Have below spools to choose from - I suspect they likely would all work to some degree but any opinions on which would be the best choice for skipping baits? Setup is the ...

Re: Carbon Fiber Strait Handles for Daiwa
Ordered a few from Sergey, will try them out. Also need a swept, but didn't realize until after i placed an order, so am on the lookout for a swept 90/95mm swept Daiwa/MB, ZPI, Bassart etc if anyone has one laying around...
