Re: We really not gonna talk about the new 2020 Ultima 172H “full carbon triangle grip”?

Tackle haven has a pre-order going on for the new ultima. I'd post a link, but I'm half way through the process of placing an order(my CC company always assumes its fraud). Its like $719.

Re: What rod/reel combo has/will withstand the test of time?

My Loomis BCR803 GLX rod. T-rig and finesse jig dream! Probably stills the most sensitive rod I own. I liked my 803, but really loved my 852bcr. Those recoils really gave that glx series a boost in sensitivity. Not really talked about much, but recoils seem to be the 'drag radials' of guides with m...

Re: Sometimes what your looking for, you already have

Those weibie reel sets like small reels. I have a 13 concept reel w/KP spool on my 704. Love that rods' taper.

Re: Daiwa Tatula SV TW

I picked up two gen 1 tat sv's at a great price from the 'trap (on sale plus TT discount), and dropped zpi spools in them. That's an option if the old frame is good for you. I think I have $240 in them

Dual handle spinning reels

Im seeing more of these two-knob jobs from shimano and daiwa. I use a short spinning rod for jerkbaits, and stretch my arm out to do wide sweeping jerks (to the side). I do a couple of strokes and then pull it back in to turn the handle...usually with just a flick of my finger. I miss the knob somet...

Re: EVA handles ... yea or nay ?

I prefer cork with rod wrap on it. I figured out it wasn't the texture of the cork that I liked, but the hardness. I played racquetball when I was younger, and I like my rod handles to feel tacky and hard like a racquet handle. A racquet with a foam handle would cost you control unless it was rock h...

Re: New Poison Adrena

I have the glorious 7'M-G, and it feels similar in power to an 845cbr loomis, with a better tip. I'd say its med-fast.

Re: Tat Elite vs Zillion SV

The Taula Elite is a much more comfortable reel. It is smaller in hand and sits lower in the reel seat than the Zillion SV TW, which is the same frame as the Tat CT. The Elite is virtually the same frame as the Steez A, which is very compact. I sold all my Zillion SV TW in favor of the 2019 Tatula ...

Re: All Aboard!!!

Nice looking caster. I dont go too wild on my color schemes either. That main gear reminds me of the 2 piece sprocket on my old bmx bike. Does this 2 piece gear give you the best of both worlds when considering weight and durability?

Re: Conquest Price

None of my 7 nrx's have shotty threadwork. From reading this board, I assumed I just got lucky. Sure I've seen seen pics, but bad wheels squeak loudly, and you never hear the good ones.
