Re: Steez CT with 700s Shallow Spool or Steez Air
I own 3 Steez CT and 1 Steez Air. All my Steez CT in different gear ratios and various BFS spools has much smoother retrieve than the Steez Air. Steez CT you will also get drag clicker and star drag clicker. Please note for the Steez Air, Daiwa only recommends 35m of line for max casting performance.

Re: Why doesn't Daiwa & Shimano Cerakote their reels?
Whoa! I just had two AR’s done for that... I charge 150 for disassembled upper/lower/handguard in single color. I don’t offer cerakote for reels as one of my services because so much variables in each reel that can’t have a set price. I’ve tested on a few but the amount of time to prep takes a lot ...

Re: Why doesn't Daiwa & Shimano Cerakote their reels?
Example of a excellent condition older magnesium reel with no signs of pitting with factory coating on. Once coating sandblasted off it reveals a ton of pitting in the metal. I used some filler to fill in the pit areas where visible. Took a ton of time to do and would of been much easier with auto p...

Re: Why doesn't Daiwa & Shimano Cerakote their reels?
With how generic paint jobs are on the current shimano/daiwa, there won't be needed 3 different coats to match the generic gray, silver or black. They could always use the air cured cerakote if baking takes too much time or is too expensive on their end. The chameleon cerakote that was done for a b...

Re: Why doesn't Daiwa & Shimano Cerakote their reels?
As a Certified Cerakote Applicator who does this full time I’m going to say it’s cost. Cerakote process requires a certain process to be done correctly. Also please note when doing chameleon it’s a 3 stage process. Cerakote base layer, chameleon layer, cerakote gloss clear layer. That being said, if...

Re: Daiwa Steez Air 2020
How od you like those kyosho bearings compared to hedghog bfs bearings?
They are my personal favorite. Im not a big fan of ceramic bearings in spools just because it makes the spool loud when casting. I like my setups to feel ultra smooth on the cast and retrieve. The Kyosho bearin...

Re: Daiwa Steez Air 2020
Finally arrived! Roro Steez Air/ Alphas Air TW spool. Quality is top notch just like all my other roro spools. On all my bfs spools I swap out the bearing to my go to Kyosho R/C car bearings. https://i.postimg.cc/05z5JTHJ/EDE2-A931-E257-41-EC-84-EB-F4-D2-B23-E91-CF.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/XYknb4Xt/...

Re: Major Craft Rod for Guadalupe Bass Recommendations
Can’t go wrong with either of those rods. If you can afford it I would get the ms-x or ms-x limited line. casting 1 gram can be done with the ultralights with some practice. The avail spool will help you greatly. The Finetail rods will load 1 gram much better but the taper is moderate/whippy trout r...

Re: Daiwa Steez Air 2020
Looks to be same bearing as on 30mm spools which are little louder, comparing alphas air tw and momo CT spool, momo is little louder......I've replaced momo spool bearing with HH air bfs and it is noticably quiter that stock momo and alphas air tw. I replace all my BFS spools w/ RC car bearings by ...
