Re: Screw inside knob stuck- Need Help
Haven't got anything to show you as it's 0858am on Anzac Day here in Aus, I'll try to get a pic of one of my reels a little later. As for Locktite you'll know if it's in there either blue or red compound on the threads. However *** if the screw is stainless steel and the knob shaft is also stainless...

Re: Screw inside knob stuck- Need Help
I usually centre punch the rivet on the back of the shaft to expand the rivet head and make it grip the handle itself. Depending on the handle knob shaft material you could also rivet around its edge in 3 spots than one big punch in the middle. Otherwise heat up the screw inside carefully with a sol...

Re: Show off your OG Zillion
Well there were 3 versions of the 50th made the USDM, JDM and that Tackle Shop's own green version if I'm correct in memory. I've asked around a fair bit for how many were made but no-one ever had a solid answer, nor did anyone want to disclose their build number to a list? Enough 0's there for an e...

Re: Show off your OG Zillion
Only Zillion I've managed to snare is a decent 50th anniversary - low production number. The front chrome nose piece chrome peeled off so that was replaced with a J-Dream nose as that's all I could get here in Australia... Re: Show off your OG Zillion
May I ask an honest question? Does the gold ring on the guide serve a purpose other than beauty? I'm getting a reel that the ring is gone, but the price was really good, so I bought it anyway. I see Gary has guides for $17.99, so not too big a deal, but figured I'd ask. Yes it's Titanium Nitride co...

Bought another reel to fill it
I've got a constant eye on all my other gear throughout the year, so that's all sorted.

Re: Happy
That's it...
Not everyone can do it, but it's a lifestyle of absorbing what your doing not trying to immerse yourself into everything and trying to nut it all out in a specified time frame - in which frustration and exhaustion results.

Re: Plastic broken piece inside SV Spool
It's not a hard process. Just work methodically and conciouse on what your doing - work inside that plastic bag is a massive help for "explosive take off parts"... That e-clip is by far the most difficult of the whole process - you the rest is the reinstalling of the parts in the reverse order - wor...

Re: Plastic broken piece inside SV Spool
It's rather straight forward, just don't loose the retainer clip and disassemble it all in a clear plastic bag to catch any jettisoned parts. How it happens... Chinsy plastic, coupled with shear forces and a cup that both acts against rotation forces and magnets - possible it grabs somewhere at some...

Re: Happy
Being content / contentment and happy are two different things. Be happy with what you've got, be content with what you've achieved, people strive for different things. And for God sakes live in the moment with your fishing experience (or lack thereof at the present) whatever or however large or sma...
