Hey Cal, If I understand correctly, this technique would be used in areas where the depth is pretty consistent, so I would only need to thumb the reel on the first cast, is this correct? About pitchin' - when you hold the bait in your hand, do you actually pitch the bait, or does the swing/pedulum ...

It sounds like you guys were impressed with the Powell rod. How was the balance overall on that rod when used with the Exist? Thansk Spiroh... it felt very good overall with both the Exist 2004 and Certate 2000. The SS 700 was a little light, but i was in a pinch and wanted to spool on some Firelin...
