New setup

The St. Croix Legand Elite EC68MXF came in today. I am matching it with a new Daiwa TD-Z-100M (12 Lb. Yo-Zuri Hybrid Green). This setup is light. Review and coments to follow (I will be out on the water Friday).

Re: Shimano Drop Shot Rods...

DragonEEL,
I have the CRC-D70M Crucial. It is a great rod for the price. You won't be disapointed with eather rod you asked about.

Re: Ethics of reviewing sponsers product

Avid, After reading your post, I went back and reviewed post wright up's about Shimano, Airrus, Gloomis, Kistler, St. Croix, and Quantum. I see no trend in TT being bias to Kistler or any other rod maker. From what I see they seem to be fair to all. I cannot say how a Kistler feels as I only fish wi...

Re: Which rod for my shimano stradic 4000FH?

You mite look into the Shimano inshore line of rods. The Calcutta Inshore CLS-X74M, 6-15 lb line and 1/4 to 5/8 weight. It has a split rear grip. Cabela's has this rod.

TD-Z100M Registration

Where and how do you register a Td-Z100M reel. I broke down a bought two. I dont understand the wrighting on the card and I can't find the registration directory on the Daiwa web site.

P.S. I hope I like the reels, as this is the first time I have went outside the Shimano family.

Re: Heartbroken - need reel recommendation

Hi Julia,
I agree with Cal on the new reel. I have one of the old red 5500s I use for cat fishing (no its not for sale, sorry). My heart and prairs go out to you over your loss. I know how it feels. My truck was broken into and gear was stolen once. (I nearly lost my religion over that.)

Re: Favorite 150 range rod?

I have Crucial and Avids both. I like the Crucial over the Avids. To me they are lighter and more responsive. (That can be debated forever)

Re: The Elite is on order

My wife returned the 50MG for me. After holding it and mounting it on a rod to test, it just did not feel the same as my other equipment. I desided to stick with my original plan and put a CH100B on my rod.

My wife just walked in from shopping and handed me a 50MG to put on the new Elite when it comes in. I love being mairried to a wife who knows and likes to fish.
