What's the difference
What's the difference between the red package of Sunline super sniper fc and the green package. Looks like the red package is lower cost?

Re: Rods/reels you regret not buying
I have the pink one...looks nice, especially with a handle upgrade and magenta slp knobs and purple HH dress up parts added.

Re: Reel cover
Don't buy those ones because they don't protect the handle. Buy the Daiwa type ,they cover the handle=more protection.

Used SS SV or Tatula SV TW
My buddy wants to jump into baitcast for the first time. Opinions wanted. Casting spinnerbaits 3/8oz. And Bomber minnow baits 5 inch 3 trebled ones. I myself have never tried either of the 2 reels he is considering. SS SV is used and Tatula SV TW is new.

Re: Can't remove screws on Bass or Die knobs
Didn't work for me. Drilled the post out from behind. Found out that the screw threads in the post seem tapered on some bass or die handles, My other 2 steez TN's aren't like that. Knobs were easily removed and put on a 90mm zillion handle. You might be able to salvage the old handle if you want to...

Re: Can't remove screws on Bass or Die knobs
for those stubborn screws I have cut the end off a Phillips screwdriver to fit into a soldering iron, by holding it on the screw head the heat transfers and softens the Loctite. then use your good screw driver to remove the screw. may have to hold the iron there for a few minutes but saves messing ...

Re: Can't remove screws on Bass or Die knobs
If the post is spinning you're pretty SOL. Daiwa thread locks the screws from the factory and some just dont want to release. I have cut a slot in the back of the post to allow a slotted screwdriver to grip it and then broken the post screw loose, but it does leave a slot on the back of the knob po...

Can't remove screws on Bass or Die knobs
I'm trying to remove the knobs from an OG steez TN reel. I have done this many times before. It seems that the previous owner put something on the screw threads. Maybe some sort of thread lock liquid. The only thing that I have succeeded in doing is loosening the knob post so that it also turns when...

Re: Post purple
ZPI PG spool because its not the same purple as my Steez EX 7.9 but the parts found a home That Daiwa purple is odd shade. Not much matches up with it. The Megabass Hyuga rods match nicely though. They're easy on the wallet too. I'm a big fan if the 72H. Its the poor man's X4 Destruction. https://s...
