Re: Auction site gems

Can we wait to post these until you have actually won the "gem". This post is starting to cost me... We don't allow EBAY listing in the hot deals section. Could we do the same here. I'm happy to loose to a TT member, but one who has done their own due diligence. Just a request The spirit of this pos...

Re: Value bfs rod

Not an ACS fan. However, the Volkey being the small in diameter and extremely light, it does not bother me as it does on larger and heavier setups.

Re: Value bfs rod

Not many great USDM bfs models. For the price, you are hard pressed to get the fit and finish of a jdm stick. The Major Craft Volkey will blow your mind in many categories for sub $200 tyd. If you are looking for cheaper, the Daiwa Blazon is another one to look at. It would be a great stick for sub ...

Re: edge first strike update

What does it say that none of the Kickstater EFX blanks made it to the retail line? Are we to assume that distributors and dealers felt the actions and tapers would not sell? How did the EFX blanks get chosen? Lastly how are the tapers in comparison between the two? The EFX were marketed as fast act...

Re: edge first strike update

As for the number of backers, there were 134 total. Of those, 77 ordered a single rod, 46 of them ordered four rods, 8 people got eight rods, and 2 donated money only. Somewhere we lost someone, but that is okay. That leaves a total of 325 rods. I am not in the industry, so I don't know what it take...

Can't find a better seller. The rod still had tags attached and was priced insanely well. Shipping was fast and item was as described.

Thank you.

Re: Major Craft and PX68R combo- action shot!

The XUL is a serious bfs rod. It would make a great panfish and other small fish rod. I would throw 3" EZ shiners and catch 9-15 inch bass all day and it was a blast. Anything over a pound will be great fun. The rod is sensitive enough that when slow rolling them on 1/16oz jighead, you can feel the ...

Re: Jun at Japan Tackle

I would assume there is a fee. I would assume to pay roundtrip shipping, transfer fee, service fee (if not under warranty), and partscost.

I can't speak for them but I am pretty sure they only service products that they have sold. If you did purchase it from them let them know in your mail. They have been really responsive to me when asking for help with items I have purchased from them. I just send to the regular address through thei...

Re: edge first strike update

I am lucky to work for a great company and that is what I am comparing others to. I would never look to the government for business advice haha. We have 35K employees internationally and all are held accountable. This comes from the top and these managers work insane hours. I also watched my father ...

Jun at Japan Tackle

Is there an email that he checks regularly? I have sent emails to the contact us email listed on the site and replies can be hit or miss. Please advise if there is a better way to communicate. I would like to send a JDM Shimano in for service through Jun.

Thank you,

Rob

Re: edge first strike update

Jodi literally grabbed me a new one right when I mentioned it on the phone so the turnaround time was basically shipping. I believe they have a bunch laying around that they can ship immediately. That being said I understand all too well your frustration. I've sent in my share of rods already and I...

Re: Spybait rod

Casting or spinning? The most important thing for me is having a moremoderate or even a moderate plus tapered rod. It needs to be stout enough to launch a 3/8 oz bait as hard as possible, but bend well into the butt once a fish is pinned. My success has come on really long casts. Spining budget- Phe...
