Re: St. Croix Legend Elite 2016
I love st. Croix but it seems like they've never had a good flippin stick.

Original zipper worms
Does anyone know how to get original zipper worms? I heard the guy who invented them is still pouring them in his garage. I was told the new ones by roboworm are garbage. A guy I know throws them weightless on a spinning rod with braid and really mops up around docks and lay downs.

Shimano warranty, wth is a 7 11 mh crucial for???
I sent in a 7 5 heavy crucial flip stick that broke on a frog fish. I mainly fish grass and used this rod for either a frog, beaver, or heavy swim jig. I received back a 7 11 mh crucial which I have no imagined use for. When sending a rod back to shimano can you request a certain model? I just figur...

Max Cuatro real world tests?
Anyone use the new powerpro max cuatro? I need to order more braid soon and was just wondering if I should get that or stick with original PP. I don't want to drop a pile of dough on it and find out that it's like Daiwa Samurai, aka, mostly just a flipping line because it's too limp and doesn't cast...

Questions on Toad fishing
Have gotten back into throwing the buzzing toads lately and wondering what hook people most often use for a horny toad or RI trixie shark? These are my two favorite toads. Not as impressed with the ribbit or some other generic/knock offs that I've tried. So far I have been using a 1/8oz. owner beast...

Building big baits
Was just wondering what type of wood most of the large swimbaits and topwaters are made of. Also on the clear bills what materials are most commonly used? I might be out in the woodshed this fall giving a try at homemades.

KVD 8.0 Magnum Square Bill
Has anyone used this bait yet and if so what do you think? I was hoping to throw one in 3-5 feet, but not sure if that would work as it dives a lot deeper than that. Might throw it on 25lb. goat rope (mono) to help keep it shallower. Any observations and opinions on this bait would help me out. Thanks

Re: Braid or FC for Drop Shot ?
Brent Ehrler uses braid for all his finesse setups. He's one of the best with a spinning rod out there.

Re: looking for discontinued rattlin vibes
A buddy has some new ones in the package and is seeking for 8.30 each. Is this a fair price? I think they were 9.99 retail?

looking for discontinued rattlin vibes
Hey guys, I have been looking for discontinued rattlin vibes lately. Does anyone know what they called the purple color? If you know where I could get some that would be even better. I have been snooping around ebay with little luck. One of my all time favorite baits.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Too bad they weren't Bs or Es. If I found a crate of Ds they'd all go on ebay.

Re: Advice on JDM Shimano Purchase
I pulled the trigger and snapped an exsence off ebay. I got the reel and it looks pretty sweet, very very very smooth out of the box, but the real test will be fishing with it. The only thing I'm a little surprised at is I thought there is supposed to be an audible drag noise on this reel? Annoying ...

board consensus on backing
With things finally starting to thaw out in the north country I'm going to start stringing up some reels over the next week. This is a topic that is as old as the first casting reel, but wondering what the consensus is for best way and which type of backing to stick on my low pro casting reels. I've...
