Re: First outing with the Brigand (Destroyer 19 new spinning)

Nice fish and review. I really like the handle on their spinning rods. It balances great and feels nice. Those okashira’s work world wide! I caught a ton of fish in Maui last week. Went to Japan the week before and had great success. I then came home and won a bass tournament on the same head and tr...

Re: Steez racing design guys

I love my 6’10” medium+ shallow cover finesse. I’m not sure what weights you plan on using it for, but it will cover exactly the weights it states at least in my experience. I have used it with an 1/8 oz Picasso shakeyhead and roboworm trailer and really like it. I have also most recently threw a 11...

Even with a $1000 rod you'll be line watching just because braid doesn't transmit anything on slack line, especially when they just subtly pick it up like that.
My guess is he will be able to feel the fish fart, while using lead core line on a RD. That's what I imagine anyway

Re: Anyone use the Bone Combat Beast or Black River rods?

I was not impressed with these rods when I handled them at my local shop which pretty much had the entire range in stock at the time. To me, majority of this brand’s offerings were way too stiff. I was also on the look out for a short and versatile travel rod for an upcoming trip and ended up getti...

Re: Tulala blanks?

Nice write up and pick up. Looks like a sweet rod with those spiral guides. Always nice picking up a random rod and it working out for you.

Re: Crankbaits rod For ToPwATers

I personally prefer a medium fast taper for topwaters. Better and more responsive at working the baits. The Taper also lends itself to hooking up with fish for me. I’ve used crankbait rods before, but found I had to work the rod more to make the same action I can get from a medium fast rod using lit...

I knew I seen them on here before. I don’t own any, but might know of someone who has.

Re: JDM Levante

I didn’t see your thread earlier. If you read my above post you will know the rod doesn’t fit my grip. Other than that it goes together very nicely. Has small white alignment dots to help line it up. It’s put together very well and is a great option for putting under your seat in the car. Wacky Sen...

Interested to hear about the shortcomings as well. Especially since I mentioned this exact model in a previous post. I didn’t see your thread earlier. Re: JDM Levante

What were the shortcomings? I believe shortcomings is the wrong term and I should have elaborated I apologize. To be honest like I mentioned they’re my personal issues and probably won’t effect others, but mostly grip trigger and reel seat. As you probably know the grip starts thick and tapers down...

Re: JDM Levante

Anyone get their hands on the JDM Levante F3-67? That is intriguing to me...wonder what the sensitivity is like. I had a 4 piece version for about a day and sold it. I have a few issues with the new MB casting rods. I did however test the taper and feel before letting it go. I must say that I reall...

I went out fishing this morning, and stopped by a harbor freight on the way home. I grabbed one of their pelican knock of cases.

Re: Calling all Steez SV TW Experts

Not sure about the older metaniums but the 13 metanium and mgls have a 3x10x4 sideplate bearing and so does the steez svtw. I would try swapping a bearing it see if it has any effect. Most of my bearing issues were noticeable because they made noise, but it’s a quick swap and might be worth the few ...
