Re: Dobyns 705CB: Graphite or Glass?
Another vote for 705cb glass. I liked it so much I bought 2. (although in hindsight i should have got the 704cb glass to compliment it).

Re: G.Loomis NRX rods go “Green”
Personally, I find them quite attractive. I think it's a beautiful rod, much better than the blue NRX's. But I'm not a fan of blue on rods in general.

Re: Good times
Very nice! I grew up kayak fishing in Florida(east coast), not a day goes by I don't miss the st. Johns river.
Is that a native watercraft ultimate I see in the pics? If so, how do you like it? Currently fishing a tarpon 140 but planning on getting an ultimate 14 next year.

If you like the zillion platform get the crazy cranker. If not, I would get a chronarch d5. $250 on that auction site.

Re: Megabass 110's...... Maybe not
I ordered one on the BF sale(before I read this thread). I noticed the similarity but wasn't till I had it in hand that I realized it was identical. I do feel bad buying a knockoff, although I don't remember the outrage when they did the RC's. Actually, I remember people being pretty happy about ha...

Re: Monofilament With Least Amount of Memory
Suffix elite camo.
Their G2 winding eliminates memory. There's a review here on TT.
It's super tough, so you may consider downsizing to 8lb. 12lb didn't break until 20lbs of pressure in the TT test.
Sunline defier is good stuff too. Suffix is the best mono ever imo.

Re: Which Daiwa low profile bc for swimbaits?
Thanks guys! Didn't really set out with a budget but I gotta hit the brakes at $650! BBS is cool(and quite attractive IMO)but the only one I can find new is $500+ and...still put off by the review. I like my Daiwas but it looks like the 300e or Calais 200asv are my best bet for a lo pro swimbait ree...

Re: Which Daiwa low profile bc for swimbaits?
If this is going to be a dedicated swimbait rig I would definately consider the Crazy Cranker, that low gear ratio will really pay off at the end of the day. Not when I'm burning 7" bullshads, punkers, freestyles, etc. More like kill me. From the TT review: "we observed the reel starting to get a l...

Which Daiwa low profile bc for swimbaits?
I'm gonna pick up a zillion 7'4 swimbait rod and looking for a reel to match to it. I have a Luna but i'd prefer to leave that on my big bait rod and grab a low profile reel. I'm not a brand guy but it feels blasphemous to mount anything other than a daiwa on it. Is there a Daiwa lo pro reel that wi...

Re: AR crankbaits: 2 thumbs up!
The way i see it, If your willing to pay $15 for a cheap plastic, mass produced crankbait, that's 'supposed' to act like a wood bait(which it doesn't), why not pay a few bucks more and get a hand carved, hand painted wood crankbait. Bonus- the s65 will out cast a lc bds 4 all day long. It's mind bog...

Re: check out these frogs
Good to hear, I'll most certainly grab a few. I think my favorite aspect of these is the way the legs attach. I like to swap out all my frog legs with strips of rabbit fur and this design would make it really easy.
