Re: Steez A Question
Mine came in today. Feels like a really nice reel. Love the weight of it. Just perfect. Disappointed it doest come with reel oil or a Steez reel cover. Gonna look more into the spools and change those paddle knobs. Cant wait to try it out. Is yours a JDM Steez A also??? I just got my Paypal account...

Re: OG Steez vs Steez TW
How is the drag on the Steez A and Steez SV TW different??? I assume the A uses 2 plates and the SV has a multi stack with maybe eared washers???
Also, is the OG steez the same frame as the Steez SV or SS/SV???

Re: NEW: Daiwa Tatula 100 (based off Steez)
I havent been to batesville in a few years. The last time i was there was playing music at a wedding reception downtown at an old place that someone turned in to kind of a "cool old rustic vibe/kinda high price" place. It was rather cool i must say lol Its not a bad town. I NEVER liked fishing when...

Re: Steez A Question
Thanks for all the reply, guys. I am totally new to the spool game. Is there a noticeable difference between the steez sv spool and the zillion sv to justify the price? Good question, I need to know this too, I'm okay with having a Zillion SV TW spool in a Steez A, just still not sure I shouldn't g...

Re: Steez A Question
I have a Steez A 7.1 coming in next week and would like to know where most of you are getting your G1 1016 SV spools? Japantackle I would have a problem buying the Steez RCS 1016 for around $100-120. I think it is just BARELY lighter than the Zillion SV TW G1 spool. Now if I were stepping up to the...

Re: sticky inductor ??
Well now I feel crazy. Should have read better. Actually that changes everything. I am not sure, never heard many reports of MagZ messing up. Does your reel have Magforce 3D or what exact reel is it???johns wrote:thanks for the info. My spool is not an sv spool. Would this still apply?

Re: sticky inductor ??
There is a black ramp beveled to fit another angular piece on the brake inductor. These angled ramps cause the inductor to shoot out into the magnets when rotary motion is applied. Regular Magforce Z reels extend straight out and do not twist therefore do not stick. Newer Daiwa's (some SV103's, Stee...

Re: Post purple
A bit of purple. That Ray's Long Cast spool for that platform is deeper than I would have thought. Even the bait is down with the purple. It has been a joy, going to get a second one in red to match the 7.3 TWS (both have 7.3 gears). Most of my testing with that spool was with a full spool of 8lb f...

I have a Steez A 7.1 coming in next week and would like to know where most of you are getting your G1 1016 SV spools? I watched Tackle Trap like a hawk. Second I saw them in stock I burned my keyboard I ordered them so fast. Was a limited few days where they were back in stock a few months ago. Now...

Re: Post purple
A bit of purple. I like that Molix jig you have, I have really done well on their Molix Racing jigheads with tiny swimbaits. The ones I have are 3/16 but cast fine with an SV reel and 10-12lb fluoro on a Medium or MH rod. Bought some Gene Larew micro Hula Grubs to go on the Molix heads and have cau...

Re: Power finesse rod
My vote would be a custom built on a Point Blank 69mlxf. Plenty versatile imo with 360 grams of power, fast tip, and deep flex. Plenty of power to move fish, with a tip section that will load up on the lightest stuff. Will braided line make up for a deeper flex with some of the mentioned techniques...

Re: Steez A Question
Had to bring this up yet again... I think I FINALLY have sold the necessary equipment to justify a Steez A. My question is, should I just save another $100 and go with the JDM Steez SV TW XH? Anyone who has used the 1012 Steez versus Zillion 1016 should know if the difference is worth it. I am going...
