Anything would be an improvement over the handles on my previous gen. Tatula rods.
I'm eager to handle one in person.

Re: Any baits out there that "walks" by itself?
I've never used one, but the Bill Lewis Stutterstep is supposed to kind of wag on a straight retrieve.

Re: TW/Daiwa chatterbait rod
Yea, I have the 7'2"MH glass Tat also, along with the 7'7"M-G. They are noticeably heavier than my Seeker & Lamiglas glass rods, but I do like their actions. I'm thinking the full grip would balance the TW rod better, but I'd hate to buy one and find out out it weighs 6.5- 7oz.

TW/Daiwa chatterbait rod
Does anyone own the TW chatterbait rod? Curious as to your thoughts on it. Is it stupid/cumbersome heavy in weight? I'm actually looking at it for Ploppers. Currently I'm using an old, wore out 7'2" MH Seeker S-Glass along with braid, but unfortunately the finish has come off a 1/3 of the rod and I ...

Re: Bass/FLW/MLF
MLF is angler owned and looking to become THE big dog with the biggest names fishing it exclusively. Johnny Morris is supposedly dropping some serious cash into it to have bigger paydays with less money invested by the anglers.

Zodias glass rod action
I've been eyeballing the 7'6" MH Zodias glass for a while and I was curious what kind of action it had. Is it just a more parabolic graphite rod with a mix of glass or is it 1/2-1/3 glass with a graphite butt section, similar to the Glatech stuff from Daiwa? I had an old Crucial crankbait rod that s...

Re: PFD Inflatable
Mustang HIT. It's comfortable and I hope it works if the need arises. My Dad has a few non-HIT inflatables and all have discharged at one time or another from getting too wet or damp in a locker.
Unfortunately it's time to replace the one I have, as it's becoming quite worn.

Re: 2010 Certate- Was it available in the US?
Thanks! No idea why, but google was failing me miserably!Canga- wrote:the 2010 certate was available in the US as the Certate HA. they were pretty much the same as the JDM models but no shallow spools or lower gear ratios.
TT shoulda been the first place to ask.

2010 Certate- Was it available in the US?
I bent my bail horribly on my Hi Gear Custom 2506 Certate. I'm assuming the bail is the same on all 2500 sized 2010 model Certates, but where do I find one? I thought the Certate was available in the US in 2010, but I may be mistaken. I'm having trouble finding a schematic for US part numbers. (Go f...

Re: Unboxing
Watching someone open a box is like watching grass grow. Not worth my time in any way.
Going over the features of a product can be interesting and very worthwhile, but once again, the actual unboxing is stupid, IMO.

Re: Abu Garcia WTF's
My Shimano & Daiwa 7ish:1 reels feel noticeably more powerful than my Gen2 Revo 7:1. I have Gen1 & 2 SX's and Premiers and they are backup duty only. I'm tired of trying to keep the clutch working properly. I believe all of mine have needed a pawl replaced at some point. Just too many issues that I ...

Re: Quantum reels
I bought a couple Quantums back in the day and they just didn't last. Neither lasted a year.
I'm not willing to let go of any more of my hard earned money to try them again.
I seriously doubt they have anything that is better than the offerings from Shimano and Daiwa.

Re: First look at new Megabass Orochi XX rods
Braillist- what an ingenious name! Great looking rods.
I may only have one XX in my lineup at this time, but it looks like I will have to get more.
