Steez TN vs Megabass IS
I have a Megabass IS 71 that I love. Performs phenomenally with the newer ZPI or KTF spools. Other than the faster brass gears in the IS is there any performance or build difference between it and the limited Steez TN?

Re: I don't use spinning gear at all. Do you?
Depends on how extreme light you need to go. I haven't taken a spinning rod bass fishing in years. With a shakey head, ned rig, 1/8 oz jig, small crankbaits, baitfinesse actually works as well and with more precision. However casting a 1 gram jig for bluegill and crappie with a true high end JDM sup...

Re: Catfishing
If you are going for flathead they love live bait. If you can get big live shad that is probably best but live bluegill work great to. Fresh cut bait will work but live is always best for the flatheads while fresh cut bait works just as well and sometimes a little better for big channel cats. If you...
Re: PX68
If you want an amazing casting all purpose reel just stick the ZPI CP 301 spool in a PX Type R / PX68 reel and you have a monster of a reel!

Re: Steez Racing Design 701MH / HXB-ST
The Designo Lebens are flat out some of the most sensitive rods I own or have ever fished. They are extremely clear and dragging tungsten on rocks is almost like the nails on a chalkboard in a good way, and no the RD's just aren't as sensitive, I also believe the RSR is more sensitive than any of t...

Re: Is Daiwa becoming : The Off Topic Turn...
I’m definitely one that enjoys fishing more than my gear, and I love to figure out and catch big fish. Joined TT for reviews and personal experiences using high end gear, since that’s what I Ike to use, and it’s been great for that overall. I don’t dress my reels up with colored parts and all that,...

Is Daiwa becoming a Tatula???
Yes we are all 12-13 year old boys at heart! Why else would we all be so disappointed that Daiwa doesn't make reels that look as cool or with as many colors as they used to? That's what's great about this forum is none of us care much for ration or reason! We just about all left that out the window ...

Re: Rod with power between Leben C71MH+RST2S TT & Leben C71H+TT / Jigga Stick
I have the DV6-C611HR AVANT and it fishes noticeably lighter than the 71h leben torque tune. I’ve only been out with it a 2-3 times, but I lucked into some good fish with it on one of those occasions. It’s somewhere between the RD hustlers and jigga stick for sure. Not as easy to place because of i...

Re: Rod with power between Leben C71MH+RST2S TT & Leben C71H+TT / Jigga Stick
The MH+ is rated to 1.5 oz, the H+ is rated to 4oz (if I am not mistaken) The 2020 DV7-CHRS4 is rated 3/8th-2oz. You can get it in a 7'1 or a 7'4. If you want to get fancy, you can dictate what kind of guides are on it, which will dictate the action (ala EG) I don't speak from personal experience o...

Re: Rod with power between Leben C71MH+RST2S TT & Leben C71H+TT / Jigga Stick
I don't want to go below 7ft. Would I be correct to understand the Technical Tune is the better all around rod but the Finesse tune is better if its only for bottom contact? The Leben C71MH+RST2STT is a pretty awesome all around rod for how I fish but a hair under powered for allot of my bottom cont...

Re: Is Daiwa becoming a Tatula???
The Steez SV TW with the right spool is an awesome reel just as good as the OG steez. And they have a couple newer reels that aren't run of the mill like the new Ryoga & Millionaire. But I agree the majority of their newer reels are rather bland in appearance compared to the older models. And how co...

Rod with power between Leben C71MH+RST2S TT & Leben C71H+TT / Jigga Stick
I have the Leben C71MH+RST2S TT and the Leben C71H+TT They are both absolutely fantastic rods! However while the MH is unbelievable for lighter texas rigs and lighter jigs it's got a little less power than id like for when texas rigging creature baits and most jigs. The C71H torque tune is also unbe...

Re: The Megabass P3 Bearing Down f5-611x is the best
It is kind of a love hate rod. I loved how it was so light, balanced, sensitive, and great for hooksets. But absolutely hated it for casting. With my worm / jig rods I do a mix of pitching and accurate soft roll casts. And the stiffer tip was awful for roll casting and if I am pitching I prefer some...
