Re: looking for a SW equivalent of Pixy
Maybe an AIRD Red Tune will fit the bill. http://all.daiwa21.com/fishing/item/reel/boat_rl/aird_r/image/fureairdrtp01.jpg Available in Left and Right. CRBB saltwater ready. http://all.daiwa21.com/fishing/item/reel/boat_rl/aird_r/ I used Google translator on this page, and one of the sentences came ...

Ahh, I might have to put one of these on a DX745 for pitching jigs and plastics!

Re: DX744FH question
Great points here because I'm currently looking at a DX744 and currently own a DX745. I've made the 745 my go to jig rod for pitching around cover and think I would like to get the DX744 for worms around cover and docks. This would make my pitching arsenal complete with just these 2 rods. That's wh...

Re: DX744FH question
Thanks, 735 is a great frog rod, but way too fast for jig fishing for me. I just want a DX that is similar in power but a little more moderate and more sensitive!

Steez question
Tired of this "mid-range" gear. I'll be selling two Dobyns rods and a Zillion reel to fund a new combo. For me, the "ultimate" jig and plastics rod for the bank fishing I do. Damn you, TT for turning me this way. I caught my PB (8.15) on a Shimano Callisto, Berkley Cherrywood, and 50# PowerPro...

Special request..
Hello gentleman, I have a special request for you all. I have been considering selling off a couple things and using the money to buy a DX744/DX745/DX784 paired up with a Steez 103HA. If anyone has both of these items, and finds the time to snap a picture or two of what they look like together, I wo...

Re: DX744FH question
Not to hijack, but how do the DX745 and Champion 765 compare to the Champion 735c? I have the 735, and I originally bought it for pitching 1/2 oz jigs to laydowns and timber. It's just too fast of an action for jigs, for me at least. I want something with a little more tip and more moderate action, ...

Re: Phenix Recon Now IN STOCK!
Greetings, Im new to the boards here at TT, but have been keeping up with the talk concerning the RECONS. I, like so many, have been patiently waiting for the rods to be released. Im happy to say that last week I finally recieved a Phenix Recon 796. First, I must say it's the sleekest rod I have ev...

I think with the new Compre and Crucial rods, Shimano blew away the rest of the competition for that price category.

Re: Swimbait rod HELP!
Thanks guys, all of the swimbaits I throw will be in the 1-2 oz range. The 6" Hudd being the heaviest. I want a rod that's sweetspot is 1-2. I don't want a rod that can throw up to a 5 or 6 oz bait. The 795 is my first choice, I love the feel of Dobyns rods but it's rated up to 5... Maybe the 904 is...

Swimbait rod HELP!
What's up guys, I've been doing a lot of catfishing recently, due to the fact that I have no money right now to spend on bass tackle and all of the money I do have has to go to gas! Can't wait to get a winter job, haha. I am going to get a reel for catfishing that can take the abuse that comes along...

Re: Shimano Core 50Mg vs Chronarch 50E vs Curado 50E
I had an e7 for a while before I traded it for a 50e. I was less than impressed with the e7, not a very smooth reel and IMO all hype. Don't get me wrong, for the money the e7 is arguably the best reel in it's price range, but I wasn't a fan.
The 50e is incredible, though.
