Re: Hello, everybody
shorebound, when taking out the bearing retainer clip(it is octagon shape), put your finger over the back side of it, take pair of tweezers and grab the side of clip, push in, and pull up. with finger over clip, it will not take on a lifeof its own and fly away. Trust me, i have spent many times on...

Re: XPS Extreme Rod
Hey, Snidley. I'm from T.O. and I go to that BPS at Vaugh Mills, too. I'd buy some stuff at BPS and when I go to Le Baron I'd see the same item with a lower price then I'd feel sorry that I bought from BPS. Now I always buy from Le Baron except when I cannot find the item I want there. My kids love ...

Re: Hello, everybody

Since you are asking, you probably know how to take down your reel, just take it down and take a look at the drag washers. If grease on them, then use shimano drag grease on them. There are some drag washers that d...

Re: New to bass fishing-question on baitcasters
Here's some info from my experience and research about baitcasts :D There's two knobs to adjust: Friction Brake: Supposed to prevent backlash at the last stages of the cast when the lure speed is slowing down. When you put on a new lure, adjust this so that the lure will slowly drop down when you pu...

Re: Rods-line ratings?
I'd say the minimum line lb/test given is probably the least force needed to put a serious bend on the rod and max line lb/test is the greatest force applied before you break the rod. If you put a line less than the rod line rating, you would probably break the line when you cast (using the minimum ...

Re: What is an excellent ultralight spinning reel ?
I'm saving up for an UL spinning myself. I'm deciding between the Quantum XPS05 - very affordable, and the Quantum E10PTi-A, more expensive but one I expect to keep for a long time.

Hello, everybody
Hi, guys. This looks like a good board. New here, new to fishing and trying to learn a lot. Sorry that I would be asking questions in my first post but I believe this is the place where I can find answers. I just bought a Corvalus CVL401. Just wondering what kind of drag they used in it (wet or dry)...
