Re: Shimano Citca or Lews Speed spool?
I would not get the Citica G. I bought one and right out of the box the sideplate was wobbly and it felt cheap/loose (I am nitpicky about that kinda of stuff). I never even spooled it up or tested it, just sent it right back.

Also, if you have a transluscent one like spawn killer or stained reaction take a close look at the left "gill plate". Pure sickness

Re: okuma krios, orra sx, ?
I have an Orra SX and really like it. It is a good, solid reel and have used it used for cranks, spinners, plastics and it performs well. It has a smooth drag, smooth retrieve, casts well, and its gearing feels stronger than some of my higher end reels. Even accidentally caught a 6lb catfish with it...

Conquest 51: How light of a lure can it cast?
Hi Everyone, I am looking for a rod to pair with a Conquest 51 to cast lighter baits. Does somebody have information on how light of a lure it can cast comfortably (the reel is stock)? I tried searching but can't seem to find anything, so if anyone can provide some feedback that would be awesome. Th...

Re: Current Consensus on Lew's?
I had both the Team Lews and the Tournament Pro and really wanted to like them but had issues with both of them. The Team Lews was really smooth and a great caster but would every so often reengage during a cast which freaked me out because I don't want to snap off a lure. I would double check my ha...

Re: Orvis online sale!
Thanks! I ended up researching all night what would work best and looking at the site for hours, eventually "had" to take the plunge and pick up the 795 Clearwater II combo. This may not be the typical use for this kind of setup but during certain times of the year, the trout at a local reservior ju...

Re: Orvis online sale!
I have actually been thinking of picking up a fly setup and learning how to cast, now I might just have to pull the trigger. Thanks for posting!

Re: Anyone own the MB Orochi X4 Cover Hacking?
Hi Cal,
First post but a long time reader I have been looking at this rod as well, but am wondering if it is suitable for larger topwaters such as 5" punkers and wake baits. Have you tried anything similar on this rod?
If so, I would appreciate any feedback you might have.
Thanks!
