Re: Anyone have any recent experiences with NFC?

I just received an Epitome SJR764-1S spinning rod that I purchased back in September last year. It was on sale for $295 plus $10 federal excise tax with free shipping. I specifically ordered it for great lakes smallie fishing which is my favorite species to target even though I live in SE Florida. ...

Re: Are Loomis GLX rods far behind now?

The reel seat is tight, not roomy like the old fuji ECS. Blank sensitivity is superb....95% of an nrx to me. Really looking forward to the new model...hope to be a 'glx man' once again.

Re: New Evergreen Kaleido Super Stallion GT3RS

Just a new model or is there new tech? I'm not an 'Evergreen man', but I'm sure I'll eventually get one. I just want them to be sexier at that price, lol.

Re: ZPI back to making spools?

I sure wouldn't want to enter the spool game right now. Extremely competitive. I have 8 zpi pg/m spools, and while nice...so are my Rays/KKR spools, and for less money. However, the 'cheap' spools are getting more expensive.

Re: St. Croix Physyx Rods

Imho, St Croix hasnt made an aesthetically pleasing rod since the brown blank Legend rods with the bronze marbled ECS reel seats. I had one of those brown LE's....they were sharp. I think Croix is having a hard time right now. Quality control issues are abundent and rod styling doesn't seem to fit ...

Re: New Zillion Rods

Shimano is the Michael Jordan of fishing rod styling, and everyone wants to 'be like Mike'. Heck even Sedition copied the Monoque. They also have realized they cost less for productions and make them look more expensive. I'm surprised no megabass fans cried foul about my Shimano comment. I think Ai...

Re: New Tatula is $100

Did the '19 model look too similar to the more expensive models? The 'nose job' andTatula branding all over the reel cheaoen the appearance, but it is definitely a steal.

St Croix's answer to the Poison Adrena. Surprised they didn't copy the monoque handle like everyone else.

Re: Light and Long Cranking Setup

Phenix Classic BFS 7'4"L (3/32-1/4). It's labeled an XF, but reviews are saying it is soft and would be better for moving baits.
