Re: New updated Omen Black

Their model names have me thinking they will have a few select models with split grip. For example, under 7'1" MH, they have two models names: OB2C71MH and OB2C71MH-2 which I think is an indication that the latter will be the split grip model. I personally like split grips.. wouldn't hurt to accommo...

Re: Had to protest my TW charge

Try asking to talk with a manager, if you have an account they can see you have been a long time customer without a history of causing issues. Someone higher up will see that and should try to make thing right and not want to lose a good customer and have people giving them a bad reputation. +1. I ...

Re: Archangel

That is a lot of money for a 13 Fishing rod. :-k not to be argumentative but if they're using top end components and the performance is on par if not better than the best of the best out there then y not 13 fishing? Exactly, gotta give new companies a shot at least. 13 fishing very well knows this ...

Re: Any pics of the new Stradic FK?

This reel is overall heavier than the current CI4+. If you click on the current FJ on the current catalog on Shimano's website, you'll see they're starting to replace the FJ with the FK details. Since the models are laid out with the flagship on top, I wonder if the FK truly is ranked under the CI4+...
Ian is the best reel mechanic I've ever seen. I doubt you could find anyone on this board or any other who would dispute this. Anyone wondering what all the fuss is about--send him a reel and you'll understand it :big grin:
That's exactly what I did.. I've dealt with other s...

Re: Archangel

Damn that looks real sexy, but i wonder why they decide to build it in Japan rather than USA or another country. Because made in japan=awesome. :D (And also- the archangel is identical to the diako droog rod- which leads me to believe diako made/collaborated on the rod, in Japan). http://forums.tac...

Re: Hagane - Show us the new reels.

You guys are both saying the same things lol. What phatbass was trying to make a point of- is that the concept of X-ship is more than just extra bearings. Nothing mind blowing here, just like naming a few extra bearings X-Ship. Technically yes it is just bearings but the concept and the uniqueness o...

assuming the spool rotors that came in both my reels were factory to begin with, as i did buy them second hand.... left: TD-itö 103M (R rotor) right: TD-Z 103H Type R+ (R+ rotor) http://i43.tinypic.com/w17jo3.jpg the difference is very, very small (R+ rotor taller) http://i43.tinypic.com/2zg6k5j.jp...

Re: Anyone getting confused with new Shimano Hagane techy?

Im hoping i was wrong about it being just a rebranding and over time it is proven to be more durable over use n tests by end users. Otherwise they wud look kinda dumb if everyone knows nothing has changed n indeed hasnt changed material wise while shim are claiming a change. That's what I'm thinkin...
