I don't even like blue and black combos but that is very tastefully done. Very nice!even26 wrote:The best lookin blk n blu combo to date!

My cousin pulled out a chair last fall. Same day, he pulled up an umbrella.
I pulled up a baitcasting reel combo before. On the other line of that rod was a catfish lol

What are you comparing the frs to? loldaiwa lunatic wrote:Cranking a daiwa feels like driving a honda civic, while cranking a shimano feels like driving a toyota corolla. Both are good but there is the scion frs which is a totally different experience.

Re: Shimano Stradic Ci4+ any good?
I've been told a while ago that the warranty is different if you buy the JDM model and import it. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
I've fished the old and new model. Your brother won't be disappointed if he gets the CI4+. It's a great all around reel.

Re: Brands to start a collection?
I think what you need to decide is what characteristics and/or features are important to you. I agree. I think an E6X would be a good place to start. but I might be biased cause I've got one on order haha but why just one brand? I understand brand loyalty but honestly it's hard to believe all the r...

Re: Mann's Reel N Shad
Just saw these today. It's a bit pricey but I guess it goes right on up there with the more top tier plastics. I'm not too sure how many are even in a pack. But it's sure innovative. Looks like great action too. Willing to try these as soon as they come out. Might just change the game for swimbaits.

Re: GLX 893 vs NRX on balance
The biggest misconception ( which is shared by many on this forum ) is that a heavier reel balances a tip heavy rod. This is physically impossible unless you hold your rod in front of the reel. A heavier reel on a tip heavy rod only makes the whole combo heavier. That's true. I guess for an even ea...

Re: GLX 893 vs NRX on balance
Like I said I don't have it anymore, but with my light weight reels (Steez, Scorpion 1001xt) the balance was almost or right at the hook keeper, balancing on one finger. With one of my untuned TD Zillions (8.8 oz) it moved the balance point back maybe 1/2" or so...still a good 2.5"-4" up from the c...

I was just wondering the same thing. I think that would certainly help make the picture a bit clearerChode wrote:imo since there are differing opinions on the balancing pt of rods, it'd be helpful if these posts could include the actual balancing pt with the type of reel mounted

From Deps to megabass to USDM brands, I always go back to two frogs though: Spros and a handmade lure from Thailand known as the lucky frog. You can check them here: https://www.facebook.com/LuckyFrog2012 . Cool little detail: they're handmade and carved from a sacred Thai wood. They also have metal...
