Re: new one year rod warranty
Not sure if our discussion would be heard on the corporate level at Shimano but I would like to see that if we pay a premium for our rods (ie cumara, expride, P.A.) and they break, I wish we'd have the opportunity to pay a certain percentage to have it replaced.

Re: NRX compared to Adrena
The sensitivity is on par with the NRX. That's interesting. I remember you compared the sensitivity of the late Cumulus to that of the NRX series. I'm not at all knocking on your judgements. This is interesting- I guess when you get to this level in the playing field, the rods are just that phenome...

Re: 2 New Shimano Tools
awesome! Good to hear it's got competent sensitivity. The crucial rods imo have either been a hit or miss with each generation and I felt they went a step above with this one. Now just waiting on Shimano to send me my replacement as soon as they feel like it lol

Re: Top 3 bearings
If you look at what Hedgehog is doing making their reputation from selling smaller bearings with the principle that smaller, lighter in weight ball bearings are easier to move and turn which may be true, but I have to wonder how significant the difference really is they are using for a sales gimmic...

Re: Top 3 bearings
lol I too would buy a Japanese car over a German.. (and a German over Chinese). I guess our experience with VW is different. Anyways, 'nuff about cars, this is about bearings!

Re: Top 3 bearings
Now, I did not say the bearing I was buying was better. I never said that. I said it met certain standards and I purchased based on that alone and it has not been a mistake not once. So I never said better. What I said was they are less expensive and provide me just about the same results as I woul...

Re: Top 3 bearings
I agree with Cagey, to an extent. Most of the time, brand names usually means $.. as is with purses, jewelry and all that nonsense lol However, the reason I tend not to buy cheaper Chinese products because more often then not, they aren't held to stricter standards and don't take pride in their work...

http://i.imgur.com/tH2uldC.jpg PB on the Deps SS 175. Cold, wet, looking awful, and blissfully happy. Didn't have a scale so I am not sure how much it weighs exactly, but I got the measurements and she came out to be around 22 inches. I saw her previous outing at the exact same spot. Threw the SS a...

Wow, what a way to set the standards on the first post. Reminds me that on most days out, half the fun is being by the water and enjoying the scenery.

Need some advice on Frog setup
It seems everyone hates the snakeheads around this eastern part of the US (obviously because it's an invasive species). But personally, I sure am gonna make the most of it! They are good eating and my parents, immigrants from Asia hasn't had them in nearly two decades. I know it's not for everyone (...
