Evergreen Kaleido Designo Mach 1 is my favorite finesse spin rod. 6'3", Light, Fast, 1/64-1/8, 2-6 lbs line rating. I usually spool it with 4lb Abrazx or Shooter. The biggest fight was an 18 lb carp foul hooked on the dorsal fin

Re: Spinning reels
It is really all a preference since i own both brands. I own a Stella, Exist, Certate, Vanquish, and Twin Power. I can go with one or the other and it doesn't really matter for me, they are both great brands. Only thing weird is that Shimano has the "C" variants that are compact body with over sized...

Re: Is there a better choice for me then sunline natural
I use regular Defier, Evergreen HD, Toray Polyamide and Super Natural. If the Defier and Toray is too pricey for you, i think the Evergreen HD is a good alternative because they handle, perform and last just almost the same. I still use a lot of the Super Natural for reels that plans to get respoole...

Re: Japan style trout spoons
I have over $250 of spoons from troutshop.jp and have tried many different brands. If i could only choose one then the Penta would be my choice. I actually caught my personal best walleye on it. From my experience, they work best with slow roll, flutter, slow roll, flutter technique and most of the ...

Re: single hooks on cranks
I have also converted 3/4 of my lures to singles. I pretty much only throw trebles when fishing open water or right at the beginning of season where vegetation is still limited. I use mostly the Owners and some Decoy for barbless. The only sucky thing is that my EG hunchback crankbaits have the bell...

Re: Any disadvantages to O rings?
Just screw the CPS till it is no longer visible and just skin hook about 1/16 of the plastic right through the eye of the CPS. This one is nose hooked, but you can do it in the middle if you want, just match the worm thickness with the size of the CPS. I use it when i nose hook my dropshot lures too...

Re: Which size Stella
They aren't too much different in weight and size, but just speed. I would go with the HG since you can just reel slower if you think its too fast. Its harder to go the other way around.

Decoy released a new quick snap last year and they are much better than the Egg ones. The strength of both ends of the snap is the same.

Re: Favorite JDM plastic worms
I have about 28 bags of Deps Kincoo in all the sizes. They are the best for Neko rig and the Reins is a tad bit behind it. You can rig it texas, carolina or shakey head for multiple purposes. Other than that i think the Kincoo are one of the most durable JDM plastic on the market. Deps has really ni...
