I use regular Defier, Evergreen HD, Toray Polyamide and Super Natural. If the Defier and Toray is too pricey for you, i think the Evergreen HD is a good alternative because they handle, perform and last just almost the same. Just screw the CPS till it is no longer visible and just skin hook about 1/16 of the plastic right through the eye of the CPS. This one is nose hooked, but you can do it in the middle if you want, just match the worm thickness with the size of the CPS. I use it when i nose hook my dropshot lures too...

They aren't too much different in weight and size, but just speed. I would go with the HG since you can just reel slower if you think its too fast. Its harder to go the other way around.
