Re: Alphas CT SV 70 - Finesse Cranking
Just ordered a gear set for Millionaire CT in 7.2 ratio like 2 weeks ago. That reel is a current production reel that’s still listed on Daiwa’s JDM site so whoever told you they aren’t available anymore is insane. Where did you order it from? And to be clear Millionaire and Alphas CT drive/pinion a...

Re: Closest match to Steez 7'6" MML
I ordered mine from Japanese Yahoo Shopping via Zenmarket.com. It’s a shopping + international shipping service and you can request pictures once they receive the rods to make sure there’s no damage. I have not checked the upper limit yet, but only tried a carolina rig with a 1/4oz bullet + 3“ OSP ...

Re: Closest match to Steez 7'6" MML
I have no experience with your said Tatula Rod, so if the action matches your preference is up to you to determine… but maybe it’s an option: the Graphiteleader / Olympic Silverado line of rods. I’ve got the 2023 7’6 ML spinning and it’s ridiculously light, crisp and sensitive. You get full Torzite...

Re: Megabass vision 110 replacement hooks
Been using some hooks from ali, and they've been better than most stock hooks on jdm lures. Kinda impressed, and even pulled a 51inch musky last year using these hooks on my evergreen showblows, and none broke. which ones? I've picked up a couple packs and they are way thicker gauge than what I exp...

New Stella or Vanquish Wind Knots
Anyone with the 22/23 Stella/Vanquish experiencing odd wind knots on a bomb cast?
I've gone decades without throwing a ball of yarn - now twice in 1 week, 1 per reel. I usually go right to the top edge when spooling braid - PE1 YGK - starting to think I should go 90% full instead.

Re: 22 Stella Question - My experience disappointing so far
PSA to all the people new to fishing: Trust YOUR gut when it comes to your fishing gear. I had people on these forums, Facebook, IRL, and even Japanlureshops telling me how this is just the "Normal Stella feel". I could have possibly screwed myself with a $800 paperweight. Also another good point i...

Re: Any opinion?
I own the 15lb, and it’s very accurate. When we weigh 5 bass for tourneys our total is always within 1oz. Very easy to judge what the weight is, even when it’s between the lines. Not sure how IGFA does it for records though. They have been doing it for years and don’t seem to have any issues certif...

Re: New Stradic Fm
So what does the Stella have that the new Stradic FM doesn’t have? At this point it’s hard to justify a Stella when the Stradic has most of its technology. Asides from fit/finish/materials - Infinity Loop...super slow oscillation that stacks line parallel, evenly. I'm glad that particular feature d...

I can look at hyper/ultra wire and see their pound strength but I haven't the slightest clue how that relates to my hooks, drag and pound test line I'm a fan of the paper clip style snaps - right now using BKK Fast Snaps in size 1 or 2 for my saltwater jerkbaits - https://bkkhooks.com/product/fast-...

Re: 22 Stella Question - My experience disappointing so far
Absolutely agreed sir. I prefer my Stellas for just as you describe. Swimming the lowly forgotten grub, swum hair, Shad raps. Yeah it does great for small to med saltwater plugs too, and I spent a few days bank beating with wart-style crankbaits last year - definitely not lacking in the torque depa...

Re: 22 Stella Question - My experience disappointing so far
Though it does have more resistance than the Vanquish/Exist, no one in their right mind would say 5x more resistance. You should probably return it or at least compare it to another Stella in a store.

Re: 22 Stella Question - My experience disappointing so far
No wear near as free feeling as my Vanquishs, Certate or Exsence reels out of the box... not even compared to my Stadic Ci4+. No grinding or anything, no locking up, just resistance. Assuming there's nothing wrong with the reel - everything you compared it to has some kind of light composite rotor,...
