Re: Daiwa luvias airity problem

I have several Luvius airitys and they are all nice and quiet.
I had a Exist that sounded like that out of the box. I sent it to the Tackle Trap and they made it smooth as my other Exists.
Sounds like it may need more lubrication. Contact the Tackle Trap to see what they can do.

Re: Newer Daiwa knob design is garbage!

If anyone has the smaller flat knobs that they dont need anymore, let me know.
I'm looking for a few. Especially the ones with the black end caps like on the tatula LT spinning reels.
PM me and let me know what you want for them.

Re: 21 Luvias Airity

The Exist LT and Luvias Airity are pretty much the same reel. Minus a bearing and some mag seal.
With the Exist, you are paying for the lifetime warranty. The Luvias airity doesn't have the warranty but is much cheaper.
In hand they feel identical. Both are great reels.

Re: Stella FJ vs Exist LT Shootout

I prefer small reels also. All my spinning reels are 2500 size or smaller. Most are 1000 or 2000 size. I also feel the Exist is a better reel than the Stella. At least for bass fishing anyway. It feels more finesse and lighter in the hand. The Stella feels more robust and heavy duty. Daiwa has the F...

Re: Which Model Luvias Airity

I agree.
I prefer the lower gear ratios. Less resistance to spin the handle.
Not sure why we mainly get high gear ratio reels here only.
Japan has all the lower gear ratio reels.
I have the FC2500S and it's been a great reel for far.

Re: Shimano knobs

Very common issue with the old shimano septon knobs. They normally get sticky with age.
Just order new knobs from shimano. The newer styles should fit on the older handles. I dont think the newer style knobs get sticky like the old ones do.

Re: Anymore 50 sized reels?

The 50 series is a great platform.
They are durable and will last for a long time. Most of the parts are interchangeable also and can be mix matched with each other.
Still one of my favorites.

Re: What’s Your CrankBait System

I usually dont crank very deep. Usually 15' is my max depth i try to reach. Also most crankbaits hardly ever reach their stated depths. That being said, i usually use smaller crankbaits because i catch more fish on smaller lures. 2X - 7' expride light spinning with Exist LT 2000 spinning reel. #6 su...

I wonder if the knobs from a Metanium or Bantam MGL would work on the older Stradic Ci4+ FA. You could check Tackle Trap and use Shimano baitcaster knobs (assuming they fit).
Should fit. Most shimano reels use the same size knob post.

Re: 3 Generation Stradic Tuning

Too be honest, you'll probably never notice any difference after the so called upgrades. Replacing the bushings with bearings in a spinning reel is almost pointless because there are no high rotational areas that really need it. If you have bad bearings, that different. New bearings can actually mak...

Also alot of the cheap handles on Aliexpress will take both daiwa and shimano knobs.

Re: Daiwa Knobs on Shimano spinning reel

Stock daiwa knobs will not fit on a stock shimano handle. You will have to get after market handles to make it work. Or you can drill out the shimano knob post and get daiwa knob post to fit the daiwa knobs.

Megabass P5 spinning rods

Any one have any reviews or time on the P5 whippet or kirisame?
Both are light action spinning rods that i haven't seen anyone mention anything on.
