Re: Aldebaran/Bassart combo...

@ Ipquick, I dont know the actual weight... My postal scale was TKO'd by 5 feet of water in my basement when my house flooded one month after I moved here LOL! Although it definitely wasnt LOL at the time! Anyway, havent replaced it yet...

Re: Aldebaran/Bassart combo...

Thanks for all the feedback! Yeah it will definitely end up with the 101 size knobs, same color just thinner profile and slightly longer graphite section, which you can see in y2k88's link. I thought I would prefer the feel of the larger 102's, but thats not the case, although I dont like the feel o...

Aldebaran/Bassart combo...

I like the 2 together but, I will end up going with the smaller 101's for the knobs because the Aldebaran is such a small reel... The 102's are a better fit with the 100 or 200 size Shimano's. http://i1096.photobucket.com/albums/g330/Love2Grabbass/IMG_0217640x480.jpg http://i1096.photobucket.com/alb...

Re: Z Bone vs NRX

I have alot of experiance with the Z-bones but zero experience with an NRX, I havent even held one, the highest end loomis I owned were the GLX's which are now gone in favor of my Z-bones. So I am definitely not comparing the two, only giving my opinion of the Z-bone. I have both LE (HM) and ST (IM)...

Re: Catching bass in Italy.

@ TBassMaster, thanks! From what I've heard, bass have been here for roughly 18 years... Only Largemouth and only northern strain, although I dont know any of this as fact, I am only repeating what I hear from the local bass-heads. @ Crawfish99, anything I could tell you about crawfish and where the...

Re: Core/Kistler finesse combo.

Big thanks to everyone for all the positive comments.

I'll be sure and give my opinion of the combo when I get a chance to actually fish it!

Re: Core/Kistler finesse combo.

Thanks guys! Lol at murdered out, and lmao at myself for not expecting to hear that on a tackle forum. @Faceless, I want to say its almost worth knocking off a bank to get one of the custom Z-bones.... The full blown LEX is expensive but man will it spoil you! I dont want to give the standard co-sig...

Re: Catching bass in Italy.

Thanks Jighead! @ flaswimbaiter, the last 2 pictures were in deep-ish water, roughly 20 ft, but the water from that lake was the clearest of any I've fished in italy, probably some the clearest water I've fished anywhere. The other lakes I've fished here range from either very stained to almost mud!...

Re: Catching bass in Italy.

Thanks guys! I'll make sure and post some pictures with more diverse scenery as I take them! The lakes here are beautiful like everywhere else, but the more unique fishing they have here is on the rivers that run through most of the cities. Its wild to catch bass from a boat.... 10 feet from someone...

Re: Flipping Rod?

I use a XH 7'6" Z-Bone LEX. It has the split skeleton reel seat, spiral wrapped Fuji SIC titanium micros, and the balancing kit. I dont have a lot of experience with a wide variety of flippin rods, the only other 3 I've used were Loomis', but the Z-Bone is my clear winner and the only one I would re...

Re: Catching bass in Italy.

Just wanted to introduce myself and show-off a few Italian bass at the same time. Names Bryan and I've been in the Air Force for 16 years now and I just recently got stationed in Italy, I'll be here for the next 3 years and then its back to the states to get ready and retire! So Naturally when your ...
