Re: Shimano/Jackall/Evergreen eye candy
Those are SICK! Congrats =D> Does the new Met DC whine? As loud as the fanboys in the shimanos are smoother post in the reel section   as loud as my wife! I see you already put a handle and knobs on the Aldebaran, I was thinking of doing that but I'm afraid it would actually add weight to...

Until I can find a way to fit more 14 lb Sniper on it, it casts as far as I want it to!Bootytrain wrote:Holy crap those look awesome paired up. Glad to hear about the casting on the Met. There's a report that says its casting was far but not as good as the 4x8 DC system.

Shimano/Jackall/Evergreen eye candy
Thought I'd share some recent additions to the boat deck. Cell phone pics, sorry. Met DC HG mounted on the Ultima 70M. My opinion, its the ultimate shallow cranking rod and the Met DC cast laughably far! http://i1096.photobucket.com/albums/g330/Love2Grabbass/met%20dc%20450x800.jpg Aldebaren HG on a ...

Re: The Ultima is here...
The blank, titanium sic micro guides, carbon butt, awesome reelseat, the whole package is amazing. Throwing an 1/8oz keitech jig effortlessly, most sensitive rod ive used. Best way i can describe the Ultima, more sensitive then an nrx and style that only evergreen/megabass can compete with :big gri...

Re: Gamakatsu Luxxe Oltre
Love2Grabbass, Maybe this will help brother. My fist searches for the rods stated that they were made in China. But those were saltwater rods. I am still looking myself to see if the bass rods are made in Japan. http://www.luxxe.jp http://www.gamakatsu.co.jp/products/search.php?md=d1&kd=1&n=24228G ...

I already gave myself the sales pitch lol! Convinced I now "need" this rod.Johnny A wrote:The owner of bass.jp.co is/was sponsored by Gamakatsu. He should at least be able to provide some info on the rods. I can't speak for if you'll get a sales pitch or not.

Re: Gamakatsu Luxxe Oltre
Not sure... I cant find any info on luxxe chase rods? Gamakatsu makes several different series of luxxe rods so it seems likely that it may be an older series.

Gamakatsu Luxxe Oltre
Anybody have any experience with this rod series? There is a 7' heavy model that is haunting my sleep... at 75000 yen, its definitely on the high end of the enthusiast scale.

Re: The Ultima is here...
Very nice, that bfs combo is as good as it can possibly get! The combined weight should be sonewhere around 7oz??? You will likely never come across a Jackall rod with any imperfections in craftsmanship... from my experience, they are the kings of QC with EG again a close second. You should absolut...

Re: Poison Ultima Feedback
Proshop Otsuka had all models in-stock no too long ago... also have the biggest selection of available Glorious rods! Haoz, the 70M to me is a perfect squarebill rod. I have it paired with the new Met DC and 12 lb sniper. Soft tip with a suprisingly fast action again makes it feel like it might be u...

Re: Poison Ultima Feedback
So Ive had the 72H since it came out and have recently added the 70M. In my opinion, these are THE rod right now; performance and looks. Love my Evergreens, MB's, and other Jackall's but the Ultima sits at the top undisputed. Only issue is the line-up needs more variety in lengths/powers. They adde...
