I have to wonder how durable that ugly handle would be if it met a fish hook from a lure off another rod? Is it thick rubber or just rubber coated? Does anyone know what the material is under the grip material?

That was a really informative review and very educational especially with regard to hook varieties. Was using the Knuckle today. It definitely changes depth well when the lip is adjusted. Moves a lot like a wiggle wart. Just not sure if it is worth the money with all other choices out there. Beautiful paint jobs though.

Great to hear from the master, and his vision for his company. I wonder when he will visit some Northern California lakes? His Heddon/Megabass lures are some of my favorites.

Great review Cal. I have to agree with you that this rod is definitely more powerful than a typical 2 powered rod. I have a pixy mounted on mine for 6" nail weight senkos, and the sensitivity is excellent. Have not used any 110's on it, but will have to try just to see.

I originally thought that it was all in my mind. I have the Micro 733, and also noticed that it was a softer blank than the traditional 733.
