Deep spool option for calcutta 100te gt?
I was wondering if there was a deep spool option for the shimano calcutta 100te gt reel? Like can I put in the 200te spool to get more line capacity or no? I'd appreciate any info on if such an option exists? Thanks.

Need advice on gear set for Shimano scorpion 1001mg
Hey guys, I'm looking to buy a new gearset for my shimano scorpion 1001mg reel which is the equivalent of the shimano chronarch 51mg reel. I was looking at slowing the reel down and was wondering if any of you guys were able to do this. These are the gear sets that I have been looking at to replace ...

Re: Question on Daiwa Reel part
No different than any other stripped screw. The old way would be to drill a shallow clean hole upon the screw top with a standard drill bit, then tap/chisel a flat wedge just deep enough to insert a flat head screwdriver for removal. Nowadays we have easy to use reversed self tapping tips. They are...

Question on Daiwa Reel part
Fellow tackletour members, I would like some advice on how to remove a screw on my daiwa pixy reel. The screw I'm talking about is "Drive Shaft Retainer Screw (A)" that goes screws down the drive shaft retainer piece. The retainer screw is messed up to where I am unable to unscrew it with my philips...

Re: Question about pixy spool compatibility
Does this spool perform better than the stock spool? And is it a deeper spool than stock? It'd be nice to have a little more line capacity in my Pixy sometimes. I believe both spools hold the same line capacity. On daiwa's website, they list the pixy type r spool as able to hold 75 yards of 8 lb te...

Question about pixy spool compatibility
Hey guys,
I recently purchased a pixy type-r spool in hopes of putting it into my liberto pixy reel. My question is, can this be done? Thanks in advance.

Re: Line Lubricants
Like all others have said, KVD Line and Lure conditioner is what I use to rid my fishing lines of memory. I recommend you spraying it on your reels the night before you go fishing so the lubricant can work its magic overnight.

Re: Revo Beast takes Best Freshwater Reel Icast 2014
I think the conquest reel should have won this. Anyways, Shimano solved a problem that happens when you get your finger stuck in the levelwind. Watch the video at 1:27 where the Shimano Rep talks about this. Kudos to shimano. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/ICAST14.html?ccode=SHIMANO14A That's a pre...

Hi Bantam,
I was wondering if the deep spool from the calais cl200asv reel will fit into the regular CL200?

Re: Should a swimbait rod be my next purchase?
Thank you for the bait selection, but I honestly don't think the 764 will handle baits over an ounce. I currently have a Matt Lures bluegill and it feels like it's over loading the rod.I don't throw it for that reason and it swims on it's side not matter the retrieve speed. I don't currently own a ...
