Re: TD Z 7.1:1 RH gears
Sorry I haven't been providing feedback. I'm afraid my set doesn't seem to be meshing well similar to LgMouthGambler's. They feel very tight and bind. I hadn't said anything yet as I was hoping I had just done something wrong in reassembly. I need to swap back in my original gear set and verify it ...

Re: TD Z 7.1:1 RH gears
Just sent you a PM, but i'll include it in the thread to share. "I have another 5 hours on the gear set and adding 8 more fish. Yesterday near end of mission, i heard a slight tick that seemed to repeat at the same interval during retrieve. It went away almost quickly as it appeared, but i set the ...

Re: TD Z 7.1:1 RH gears
Got them today, Looks like I have to point my finger at the machinist and do a better quality control before I ship these!! The pinion was machined on the wrong angle!!LgMouthGambler wrote:I dont know. Seems like they didnt mesh well.jjbassnforfun wrote:

Re: TD Z 7.1:1 RH gears
Updates on the testing. Hopefully these members can share their thoughts here on the sets they received?? LgMouthGambler set had issues and he said they locked up. I'm still waiting to receive them back to inspect what went wrong. :( IlliniDawg01 got his installed, But not sure he had a chance to u...

I put a set of 9's in my sons Fuego. He's beat them hard and we just serviced and gears look fine.

Re: building the 5.1:1 'crankin'steez'
Good numbers, thanks. Too bad the gearset is no more :(. I'm checking out other sister reels to see if something else is close. But other projects have me bogged down. If this becomes of great interest, I could have the oem set laser scanned and fabricated. Pretty pricey though.... Tried it with th...

Re: building the 5.1:1 'crankin'steez'
Very nice! How about the STEEZ103HLA lefty? I only see td-z 103p, But no left hand reel to snag the gear set from. hmmm. i really do not have a clue. to my knowledge, there was not a 103p released here or in Japan. i do not know of any other lefty reels that would work either.... The 103ML gear set...

Re: Zillion SV spools compatible with Zillion TWS Reels?
So there are spacers that allow a Zillion TWS to use the 1016 spool? I am lost, figured those two were not compatible without major modifications... If those parts do exist, that would be interesting. I know already all of the reels that ARE 1016 compatible, just don't know what Daiwa reels could b...

Re: Cranking Reel
I have one and love it . its too bad shimano has abandoned the cranking angler now. no 5.x ratio low profile reels available in North American anymore. the 200i PG was the last one I haven't messed with Shimano for a bit, But it still may be possible to exchange gearing from the previous reels to n...

Re: Zillion SV spools compatible with Zillion TWS Reels?
I’m interested for buying such spacers for OG Zillion. But it looks like those are not for sale anymore. Seeking second hand seems being only choise. SV103 has the same parts and pieces as the OG zillion except it uses the 34mm spool capacity. Search for a used reel or see if some one can sell you ...
