Re: Conquest 905C Question
Really love my 905. Bought a 904 as well and really prefer the 905 as a jig rod. My preference is a stiffer rod for jig fishing. It also has done well for me throwing an A-rig this winter/spring.

Re: Who is the MOST over rated ?
I know I will get bashed on here, but the new Megabass Double X rods are just not that impressive to me. I absolutely love my gen 1's and would not get rid of them. The new ones have left me underwhelmed.

Re: "Best" Jig rod for 1-1.5oz jigs
The 905 Conquest is awesome! Balances very well with a Metanium MGL. Currently have a Curado 300 on mine and it doubles very well for throwing A-rigs and will be a great jig rod in the range you are planning to throw.

Re: Megabass levante
You might want to check on the rear grip length of that rod. The 1st gen was a little short for my liking for swimbaits. Not sure about the gen 2, as I haven't held that specific model. The shorter grip is part of the appeal! Or at least it is for me. Fishing small ponds/lakes from the bank and fro...

Re: Spinnerbait rod ?’s
If you can find one get the Double X Megabass Spinnerbait rod. Have two and they are one of the best I have used. Another that I picked up and felt decent was the Shimano Curado 6'10". I beleive that one would suit you fairly well.

Re: Conquest 905C Question
Do you feel the 904 would be a better option for 3/8 to 1/2 ounce jigs?

Re: The Go To big T-rig / C-rig Rod
I feel the Valdivia is one of the best Carolina Rigging rods I have owned. It would do well on big texas rigs as well. In my opinion it shines for 3/4 to 1 ounce c-rigs though.

Conquest 905C Question
I am looking for a rod that could potentially double as an A-Rig rod and a jig rod. It is rather difficult to find reviews on the 905 and was hoping someone on this forum has some experience with this model. This might be a better moving bait rod versus bottom contact, not sure. I have had some NRX'...

Re: Megabass Destroyer Addermine vs G Loomis NRX 852S JWR
I have two Addermine's and love them! Have never owned the NRX spinning rod so cannot comment on them. The Addermine is very versatile as I have used everything from drop shots, smaller 110 jr's, even crappie tubes on 1/16 ounce head. Great rod, you'll be happy with it.

Re: Megabass Vision 110 vs Lucky Craft Pointer
I find the Vision 110 works better in clearer water and the Pointer 100 excels when there is some stain as the rattles in this bait will draw them up.

Re: Megabass Vision 110 - Best Color?
Really depends. I find a more translucent bait works best up north on smallies. Here in Virginia where the water can range a shad colored bait works well in cleaer water and french pearl has been good for me when the water has some stain to it.
