Re: Do you guys always use reel covers and rod sleeves?
I always use rod sleeves and reel covers whenever transporting them in my car, since I usually at least have anywhere from 2-6 combos with me. Once I get to the dock and on the boat, I take off the rod sleeves, but leave the reel covers on until I'm ready to fish. If I'm bank fishing or going for a ...

Re: Decoy egg snaps questions???
I haven't tried to the 1 or 1.5 size, but I use the size 2 egg snaps. I haven't had any issues of the snaps coming off at all after locking it in place. I've used the size 2 for jerkbaits, poppers, cranks, and spoons, and haven't had any issues so far. I do want to try the size 1 for the finesse har...

Better get in your fishing fix while you can. Most of our lakes here in Southern California have already been shut down.

Re: Curado K vs Bantam
Has anyone used either reel for punching/flipping heavy cover? I already have the bantam, but looking to purchase another reel. We get some thick junk here in Minnesota in the summer. I used my Bantam for frogging and flipping mats last year and intend to do so this year. What do you want to know? ...

Thanks for the review Cal! I seriously cannot wait to pick up one of these rods.
Did you have any issues of the butt of the rod slipping if it got wet since there's no EVA or cork at the end?

Re: Any 2020 Shimano reel leaks.....
Any thoughts on whether I should grab the 2020 Met if I already have 3 Bantams and all of my rods balance better with a heavier reel? The cost of the new Met includes a new rod too that'll balance better... I could save myself a good amount of cash if I pass on the Met (for now)... I'd rather have ...

Re: What are You PUNCHING with?
Has anyone used either the Phenix M1 7'8 Heavy or the 7'5 Extra Heavy for punching/flipping? I'm leaning more toward the 7'8 since I don't plan on using more than 1.5 ounce, but my past experience with Phenix is that the lure rating might be overrated and 1.5 ounce might be too much for that rod? An...

Re: Phenix Feather Spinning Handle Like or Dislike
I've been fishing this a lot this season and it hasn't bothered me one bit. It all depends how you hold your rod though I think. I hold the rod with the stem of the reel between my pinky finger and ring finger, and have my index finger on the blank.

You should take a look at Sunline FX2 in 50 or 60 pound.

Re: Longer ML spinning rod
Agree with ShimanoFan, check out Phenix, the feather series has a 7'7 Medium, but their Medium is more like a ML, and the M1 has a 7'8 Medium.

Re: Phenix Rods Hydra 8 Strand Braided Line Green
I've fished this in 40 pound last season and I really like how it casts and it's much quieter than PowerPro for sure. I did notice though that the line fades pretty quick, but just slightly though. Once it fades a little bit though it tends to stay that same color for a while (pretty similar to what...

Re: Color braid?
I've only fished dark/moss green and high vis red braid. The high vis red I have on my finesse spinning rod since it's much easier to see the line move than the moss green.
