Re: BFS jigs favorites/best and where to get them

Keitech Mono Guard and Fine Guard jigs. Money. Expecially with a Little Spider on the back. I just order some of the 5/32 Keitech Fine Guards jigs and some 2" and 3" Little Spiders. I have used the 5/32 Keitechs before and I had 2 bites but no hook ups. I am hoping the hooks are not too small for L...

Re: TSI 321 and OC hybrid abec 7

I usually clean them whenever they get noisy, or start to see a loss in distance. This is on average every 3 months or so. Before using TSI I was replacing rusted bearings on a regular basis. Since using the 321 for the past year or two, I haven't had any rust anywhere on the reels including the an...

Re: TSI 321 and OC hybrid abec 7

I have posted on this topic a few times in the past. I use TSI 321 mainly for saltwater protection as my races kept rusting on my OS in the past with other oils. Have been using it for around 2 years on the same bearings with no rust anywhere and no loss in performance. The 321 is pretty thick so s...

Re: Help with JDM Shimano lineup

The older JDM Antares was the USDM Calais. The Antares DC7-LV does not have a USDM cousin. JDM Conquest DC - USDM Calcutta DC. The older Met DC and the Scorpion DC have no cousins in the U.S. and the USDM D Model Calcutta does not come in a 100 size like it does in Japan. The USDM Calcutta CTE-GT is...

Re: Question about Hedgehog Air BFS bearingS for CNQ50

Avail spool for CQ50/51 uses the same spool bearings as the Stook spool. Used to have Avail spool for my CQ50 but that was 3 years back. Maybe new Avail spools since then had adopted different bearing size. What I also observed was, Hedgehog sells bearing package for CQ50 in a pair only, ie size 3x...

Re: Question about Hedgehog Air BFS bearingS for CNQ50

I answered my own question by removing the spool shaft bearing on a CNQ50 just to see if they sent me the correct bearing. It is the correct bearing for a genuine CNQ50 spool but it will not work with an Avail CNQ50 spool because the area on the spool shaft that the bearing rides on is a different d...

Question about Hedgehog Air BFS bearingS for CNQ50

I just installed the Air BFS Bearing on the spool shaft and it's not snug on the shaft at all. This is an Avail spool btw. The inner race moves freely side to side on the shaft. Is it supposed to be like this?

Re: Avail handle for new Cq100

Alright, so let me clarify. I am looking at buying the handle only. I like the Shimano knobs and do not plan on changing them. So do I need to buy anything else other than the nut? The factory knows will have the bearings/bushings and the screws that fit the OEM handle. do I need the plastic bushin...
