Steez Duralumin screws and full handle nut sets in lime?

I am having a difficult time finding a set of duralumin screws, handle lock nut set and handle bolt, all in lime color. Hedgehog appears to be sold out of everything (lime) but the lock nut set without a bolt. Does anyone have insight on other reliable sources for these parts? Would a handle lock nu...

Re: Question for the reel collectors.

Great responses guys! Teal brings up a very nice point about value. Perhaps the approach is to buy older models at lower prices. As a collector it'd be difficult to lay off the latest and greatest models. With that said i'm really waiting for something original and unique from Megabass. Counting dow...

Question for the reel collectors.

I've been buying and selling Japanese reels for several years now. I fish with most of the reels. But I have been going down a dark road of picking up more Megabass reels. Right or Lefty I don't care... I'm starting to display them and refuse to fish with them. Seems to be a losing proposition when ...

Re: Custom fees

Thanks for the feedback. In my half dozen transactions all packages were delivered to me via Japan EMS. Never been charged fees. Curious if it had to do with the seller and delivery method. I'm thinking so far that EMS is fairly safe.

What's a fair price on a Megabass UC79?

I recently bought a Megabass Ultimate Competition 79 from a fellow tackletour member. Non limited version. Unfortunately I could not get used to the right hand retrieve for the steelhead fishing I do here in the northwest. So i'm sticking with my old lefties. I have it listed on eBay but have not ha...

Bassart knobs for spinning reels?

Seems I missed the boat on the Bassart series of handle knobs. Plat, Japan tackle etc don't seem to carry it.

Does anyone know where one might be able to order these or similar knobs?

Re: Daiwa Steez Generations

Quick question. Besides the "limited" offerrings. Which version of the Steez seem to be the most desired? From what I've seen the SV's are readily available at discounted prices. The EX 100H appears to garner the most market attention, prices are higher with lots of bidders on the big auction house....

Re: Hedge hog air bearings. Anybody tried them?

Oldie but goodie, bringing this thread back to see what the verdict is for longevity of Hedghog Kattobi series bearings.
I'd be interested to know how often you guys are cleaning/flushing and lubing these.

With proper maintenance how long is a set lasting?

Thanks

Re: Reeling Demographics... are you a righty or lefty

I live in the Northwest and most of us Salmon Steelhead fisherman reel with our left hand and control the rod with our right.
It only seems natural being a right hand and eye dominant person.

What's interesting is most fisherman outside the west coast seem to be opposite.

Re: who custom paints reels?

Thanks for this topic. I am too interested in a paint job. However I'm curious if a fresh paint job with a clear coat adds a noticeable or significant amount of weight?

Would be neat if some could post photos of Cal's work.

Thank you.
