Re: Reel upgrade help
Sol with an SV spool would be nice and cost would not be too bad.

Re: Ned Rig
Tavery5 , Have you tried the 1/15 oz jig head ? I see it's a lot lighter than the 1/10, was wondering if the bait will still get down and not float straight up? I'm fishing 5 lb fluoro. I have fished as light as 1/16th of an oz with no problem. I only use a head this light when the fish are in 4ft ...

Re: Tatula Type R Limited Edition??
I own one and know just a little about them. There were reels that were awarded as prizes in the U.S. and there were also a very limited production run of reels produced in Thailand, not sure how many. The differences that I am aware of between the two reels are that the Thailand reels were availabl...

Re: Ned Rig
Thankyou so much for the detailed info and I will try the Zinkerz and give them a shot . If I may , can I ask what jig head sizes will work well for the bait to float and work properly ? I bought some 1/10 oz a man shroomz heads would those be okay ? If you choose to use the Zinkerz be sure to get ...

Re: Ned Rig
I saw a video that shows the Z man trd new out of package will sink straight to the bottom without any floating capability. After a while it will eventually float and stand up . Have you fellas experienced this and is it normal ? I heard that you should stretch your plastic before use , will this r...

Re: Team Daiwa Sol
Fixed the reel I was working on with pressing the 2 together, as you were describing put putting aliberal amount of Pliobond on, beforehand. I think it will work for the longhaul because it flexes while maintaing the bond and because it's relatively waterproof and it can be easily gummed-off. Now, ...

Make sure you installed the small gear under the main gear with the nubs up and engaged into the main gear.

Re: Best bottom contact 1/4oz to 3/8oz Jig Rod
I use the NRX JWR 853, 1/4 -3/8oz total weight fish nice on this rod. At what point do the St.Croix LE and LX rods enter the conversation, or are they no longer considered among the top rods?

I am almost sure someone once said that the nut retainers from the Revo's were a good fit for the Hawg Tech's.

Re: SV105 on TW
I changed the brake adjustment dial on my SV105, to the one like the TDZ, it is more recessed and does not rub my hand and it also has visible numbers on it.
Small stuff I know, but it made it more comfortable for me.

Have used mine once or twice during some good top water action. The fish were smaller fish but no takers on the Pompadour, I switched to bone Spook and Sammy and it was on. Unique action but has not produced for me yet.
Re: NRX Help.
Forget my suggestion, I thought the NRX MBR came in a 4 power. The basic difference is in the taper.rockchalk06 wrote:Why is that? You'll have to forgive me, I'm kinda new on Loomis rods and have no experience on the MBR.Tavery5 wrote:Take a look at the NRX MBR series.
