Re: 2 piece casting rod
Check out the Graphiteleader Bosco. I have a 7' 2 piece and it's sensitive powerful and great for fishing plastic baits. I think mine is a heavy, but fishes like a MH. Rea$onabily priced also. I have the older model split grip in hypalon, New lones are one piece cork. The model I have http://www.ol...

Re: 2 piece casting rod
Thanks for all the suggestions! The Nuovo Bosco and the Fullrange CC weight more than what I would like... I've been digging through old posts, and I read about a few people having their 1-piece rod modified into a 2-piece rod. Does anyone know how much this would cost? I'm considering doing this f...

Re: Finesse Baitcasting
What exactly constitutes to finesse baitcasting? I see rods, like the new Cumara that throw down to an eighth of an ounce, but it's still a medium power, so i don't know if it's technically finesse baitcasting. Also, what # test line is generally considered to be finesse, as far as baitcasters go? ...

Re: Rod for pixy
A lot depends on your intended use. If you want it as a lighter all around combo (and also your intended use), then a Loomis CR 621 or 622 would be a nice choice. I have a custom Pixy rod built on the IMX 722 blank. I have also used my other Pixy w/ a 13 fishing Omen Black 6'10" OB2C610 M and it's a...

Re: Wacky O-Rings
I use(d) small " hair braiding" rubber bands. they come in pks of 250-500 for a couple of dollar$. Double them and slide onto a Yum Dinger, or other brand 4-5-6" size. Like these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/181569754457?lpid=82&chn=ps&ul_noapp=true Check locally so you can compare sizes. inexpensi...

Re: What should I pay more for the Rod or the Reel
These days, there are a number of very nice rods selling at the $100 price point. That being said, I'd likely spend the $200 on the reel as it's more mechanical and will experience more wear over time than the rod.

Re: What is the most sensitive rod under $300?
"Whatever rod you choose, make sure to use either braid, fluor, or braid with A high quality fluoro leader." With that thought in mind, could the OP just put braid on his " Dobyns Champion" and get the sensitivity he is looking for. I have never done a comparison test but here is my thinking. Braid...

Re: What to do with broke MB rode?
I'd, get with a custom rod builder and have it converted to a two piece rod. Not the optimum place for a two piece connection, but when you think of travel rods that are three and four pieces, an external ferrule done properly would be practical and allow you to use the rod. Drop Matt (Otterrods) an...

Re: Posting in Classifieds Forum
To post to the FS&T section you have to have 100 posts to the forum. Reasoning being this prevents drive-by sellers and possible scammers to join TT just to sell items or bilk the membership. The moderators watch new members and their posts to ensure someone is not running up post counts (using shor...
