Drop a PM to e_bassfisher. He is the "reel" deal when it comes to tuning and repairs.

Re: Did I score?
I had a Megabass Rod shipped from Japan in one of those triangle boxes (arrived undamaged). Makes one wonder if maybe some of the rod damage we see when rods are shipped in round tubes isn't done by a crazed handler frustrated with the rolling around tubes tend to do where a angular box doesn't. The...

Re: Ultraskiff fishing boat???
Looks like if the craft is trailered, much of the carrying is eliminated. However in the video, they show the guy transporting it in the bed of a pick up or side saddle in a scooter carrier behind the vehicle. Great way to eliminate the need for a trailer, license concerns and the maintenance of a t...

Re: Ultraskiff fishing boat???
Looks interesting. loading and unloading and transport looks looks to be cumbersome to me. For the money, you could get a porta-bote http://www.porta-bote.com/ or a nice used jon boat w/motor and trailer. It is however quite clever in design and certainly appears to be a stable fishing platform. Def...

Re: Help - Should I throw my Chronarch 50mg in the Garbage
Things like this happen (unfortunately). With winter coming, sounds like a good indoor project to fashion one your self. Since you have another as a template, find something close in size in your collection of "screws, nuts and fasteners" and grab a small file and "give it a go". I'm fairly confiden...

Re: In Need of a Builder
For a job as small as replacing an eye, shipping is going to kill you. Matt (Mattman) at Otterrods could certainly do a perfect match. Have you checked locally with some builders in your area? Most guys that build rods as a business can do a excellent job matching parts and thread wraps. For a compl...

Re: 2 piece vs 1 piece rod
If you want to entertain trying another brand rod (one that has performed well for me), try the 13Fishing Omen 6'10 ML. (model OBCA610ML.) You'll have to call Matt at 13Fishing to get one in the U.S. as it's an Australian market rod, but are available here in limited quantities. http://forums.tackle...

Re: how do you get around TW not having a wishlist?
I suggested they offer one years ago. Fell on deaf ears. Great idea so guys can load a card and wife can pay for it a Xmas and you get what you want rather than a "go to hell" fishing hat and an Ugly Stick.

Re: Would you spend more on a rod or reel?
Depends on my intended fishing. Slow bottom bumping baits, I'd opt for a better rod (since reel isn't going to see the workout of a crankbait/ spinnerbait application) and I'm looking to the best sensitivity I can afford. The the opposite would be true when fishing moving baits. So short answer (giv...

Re: 2 piece vs 1 piece rod
I know this topic has been done to death, but I just wanted a little bit more assurance. I am planning on ordering a majorcraft volkey overseas and I can't decide whether i should buy a 2 piece or 1 piece. Obviously, a 2 piece rod would be more convenient for transport and the 20-30 dollar shipping...

Very nice score. Love the old Evos. Been keeping my eye open for a SB Jabber also. Have the straight handle Jota and Diablo, would like a SB to to finish off my set. They don't make em like that anymore.

Re: Finally, Phenix Debuts their K2 Sticks!
Great news. Absolutely loved the prototype at last years show. This one looks like great (and am glad they stuck with the wood over a CF trim). Hoping when reel is mounted there won't be any of the reel seat threads exposed. This rod should be "killer" on the water.
