1. Most anglers against this are hipocrites, because they have no problem fishing for spawning fish they cannot see. It's sight fishing vs unknowingly catching spawning fish. 2. I haven't fished the BassOne but, IMO, some of the biggest "upgrades" when you look at, say a Curado, is not necessarily going to be seen in the "statistics" of then specs (BB count, etc). It's more about fit, finish, tolerances, and material. A graphite on graphite reel always felt horrible in hand...
