Re: SVS Infinity vs SV/AIR/3D mag

I understand the ease of adjustment thing but with Shimanos brake systems, whether its SVS or VBS there really never is any adjustment needed for most uses. Granted most of my combos are set to throw a certain weight range, if anything it's a little tightening or loosen the cast control on either. T...

Re: nrx rod for carolina rig: 894c, 895c, or 873CRR?

I love my 873, though I don't throw many Carolina rigs but figure it would be outstanding for Texas rig type techniques as I like fast actions for them and X-fast for jigs. I usually throw 3/8 to 3/4 t-rigs and a lot of 1/2-1oz football jigs with it which makes me think it would be great for Carolin...

Re: Favorite Mono & Size For Top Water Baits ?

For walking baits I like 20 or 30lb braid with a 12lb suffix seige leader. For poppers I have actually been using the same braid with a 15lb Seaguar Invisx flouro leader. For some reason it has worked alot better for me the way the popper digs harder and really pops and chugs along but usually am mo...

Re: NRX Inshore Mag Spinning Rods

Nice, let us know how it works out for sure. Around here I would think they would be popular. But on the local forum when someone asks about them the only replies you get are people complaining about the price  no first hand experience. Looking forward to seeing how it works out for you. Thank...

Re: Chronarch 101 D7

If its stripped from using a Phillips head on it, the flat head should still grab on the longer slot because the Phillips won't strip out that far. This is the regular slotted Phillips frame screw Shimano uses on most reels, right? Havent had a D for a while so dont remember. If that doesn't work yo...

A few people stated aluminum frame but Japantackle says magnesium for the SS SV. Any of these aluminum framed?

Re: Daiwa's new reels for 2014

Hopefully saltwater safe. If so I could see a SS SV in my future.
Edit:N/m read the Japantackle discription-freshwater only

Re: Chronarch 101 D7

If you're using a Phillips, try a flat head(slotted) since the slot is longer. I usually start all my screws with a flat head to loosen and then switch to a Phillips the rest of the way to avoid stripping.

Re: 2014 Curado I

Thanks for the responses. Dont do this much, didnt want to mess anything up if I dont have to. I had seen no proof that it messes up other reels, just people saying it can happen.

Re: Tatula by megabass? Would you...

I must be one of the few that is not impressed by the Tatula. I guess I'm spoiled. I agree. Would rather see a new Steez or Zillion with the T-wing and maybe 3-d braking. Looks like it may be on the way. Zillion with T-Wing/3-D Braking? Did you read that somewhere or see prototype pics? Or am I mis...

Re: 2014 Curado I

I noticed this on my Chronarch Ci4s. Does this cuase any damage at all to the internals? Or is it nothing to worry about.Im guessing not since it is now a feature but Ive heard of other reels doing this and people saying dont because it can damage the clutch. Thanks Bantam.

Re: Steez ex 100xs thoughts

Dont have the XS but have the HSL and its a very nice reel. I wouldnt say its that much nicer than my Cores though, but is just a little smoother, but that is probably because it doesnt get used much, only when I go to the lakes. Been using it for football jigs mainly on a Nrx 873 and it works well b...
