Re: Megabass F4.5-70XX Flat Side Special

It should handle them fine. It's a good rod, nice slow action but still a good amount of backbone. I use mine for all cranking needs since I don't do much cranking beyond squarebills.

Isn't addiction when you can kind of realize you should stop and/or you want to stop but can't?
I never want to stop. :)

Re: **Galaxy Red Hyper Lariat.....the X-Mas Present theme**

Rather than replace the knobs (I kind of like them on that reel), perhaps lose all the gold and replace it with purple frame screws, handle retainer and knob caps. Same purple you have on the line guide and cast cap. Usually I can make 3 colors work, 4 is a bit much imo. I agree, my rule of thumb i...

Re: **Galaxy Red Hyper Lariat.....the X-Mas Present theme**

Interesting... I'm usually a fan of your work but this one doesn't quite do it for me. Maybe its the multitude of colors, seems a bit jarring. But nice work regardless!

Re: The Wife's Combo

My wife doesn't go out with me too often either, but when she does I give her a Pfleuger President on a Fenwick HMG rod. Decent combo. She wanted to try a baitcaster the last time, I set the brakes pretty aggressive and she loved it. Looks like I'll be buying her one of those sometime. :)

Custom TD-Z - ORANGE

The long awaited day as arrived! I am thrilled to have my custom TD-Z back from the Tackle Trap and could not be happier with the way it turned out. I got the main frame painted by Shane Frederick, rarebreed on here (I believe) and @sc_reels on Instagram. He did an incredible job matching the orange...

Re: What piece of cheap or tackle gear do you use and love?

I have my first ever baitcasting setup, a Lews LFS 6.8:1 and 13 Fishing Omen Black 1st gen. Solid, reliable, inexpensive setup. I'll never get rid of it.

I have a custom on the way from Tackle Trap soon too... Will be posting plenty of pics of it when it comes.
