Do you happen to know why there is a shortage? I also heard that the TD-X might be discontinued after 2005 because of all of the new products. To back that claim up, there is no longer a Japanese equivilant to it and I heard the CV-Z might be going too.

Which one is there a shortage of and which one is best suited for overall bass fishing use...and we'll even add in light saltwater or heavier duty freshwater. See I like to fish for smallmouth, but at the same time know I can handle a nice muskie here in PA and then go to the beach for stripers...
