Re: NRC001-M

How and in what are you using yours? I just got one of these and after trying it in a Steez and an SS SV, I can't get it to work with 12# fluoro at all. I thought it was designed for 10-14# fluoro. I know the Steez and SS both have weak magnets, especially the Steez, but I didn't expect such a ligh...

Re: Megabass jota slantbridge

Got to take it out yesterday for the first time. Threw square bills and jerkbaits with it. It is an awesome rod felt good with both. Feels like it is a very versatile rod, soft top but had a strong backbone too. Definitely my new jerkbait rod after yesterday. 6'4" was much easier to work with than ...

Re: A Lesson Worth Sharing

I’m kinda baffled, you can’t be mentioning premium and then turning a blind eye on price :-s Also, I wouldn’t necessarily utilize “mass production” and then slip in Luxxe into the mix  I see lots of subjectivity in your post, which is perfectly fine, but a lot needs to be taken into account ...

Re: RARE SPOOLs

I think sought after may be the better way to describe that list Agreed, rare to me would be PXA Avail Pixy spool, 36mm BE (I only know of one), BE's, and a few specific RC-002 colorways....could also throw in the AOI spool, CP-301 and ABU RC416-RS. I’ve seen some RC-002 and other numbers but I don...

Off the top of my head.

ZPI Blue Emblem Spool
JDream Spool
ZPI Pixy Spool
TDZ Type R+ Spool
OG Steez 103 Spool
DIY/Rays OG Zillion Long Cast Spool
Other ZPI 34mm Spools
T3 1016 Black Spool
A lot of these I wouldn't throw in the "rare" category.

Re: Megabass jota slantbridge

I throw jerkbaits on the exact same rod, I also throw jerkbaits on it, and sometimes more jerkbaits!
Great rod, you won't be disappointed.

Re: Your favorite rod taper for Jerkbaits

Controverted subject, moderate fast suits my needs.
That being said, I think rod taper must be combined with line type to be effective, one might argue reel ratio as well.
To each their own tho.

Re: Rods with the 'it' Factor

P3 Nautilus
P3 Super Destroyer
P3 Bandersnatch
Evo Big Taper Super Diablo
Jota xfti
Destroyer Rekkai and Brigandage slants, often underrated, but definitely sensational rods.
Last but not least, the X4 Mat bucker is another favorite.

There's more, there's always more ;)

You can always try Mike Long, but he might be harder to reach these days.
