Re: My Line Up is finally complete!…yea right..
Awesome setups! Would love to see the pics! I bought my buddy that QUANTUM SWIMBAIT SPECIAL a few years back for his birthday (we always do a trip up north to celebrate and enjoy the opening weekend of the bass season) and he had it rigged with a senko and his first fish on it was a 6 lb. walleye! I...

Re: Jika rig
Love the rig but the tungsten version was $12.99-13.99 when they first came out so I only bought one pack. Favourite bait for is a 5" swim senko. Unfortunately had a pike steal one from me and the other a bass swallowed it right down and didn't make it  but kept him for table and got it back wh...

Re: Show off what you got for the holidays!
I got a set of StormR bibs/jacket too. The only thing I wanted. I already have WAY too much tackle. Wait there is a such a thing as "WAY too much tackle"??? no. no there is not. 8-) There is when you have crankbaits you bought 6 years ago that are BADA$$ but you haven't thrown them yet cuz ...

Re: Show off what you got for the holidays!
no pic at the time, but I received: - NRX 842S SJR & Sustain 3000FG, and a pack of tungsten drop shot weights (from my boss) - Sage Click IV fly reel (from my lovely girlfriend) to be paired with my 5 wt. nymphing rod! - Sage 4210 fly reel (from my lovely, beautiful girlfriend) to be paired with a f...

Re: CI4+/Core/Metanium..
I've tried the CI4+, own 2 cores, and almost picked up the Metanium (went with a Sustain instead because I didn't have a spinning reel until a couple days before Christmas!). Love the Core, passed on the CI4+ (for now anyway) and had a really tough time putting down the Metanium in favour of the Sus...

Re: How many combos do you guys have
Mine are always changing but I think I've settled… for a while at least! Spinning: • G. Loomis NRX 842S SJR & Shimano Sustain 3000FG with… haven't decided yet! Either 6 lb. or 8 lb. fluoro, or 10 lb. or 12 lb. Nanofil. Will be used for drop shotting and light plastics like the Yamamoto Shad Shape Wo...

Re: *NEW* Spinning Rod
Thanks for the info guys! I took Phippy's advice and went with the NRX 842S SJR as it could possibly double as a drop shot rod. The NRX 872S JWR was much stiffer than the NRX 852S JWR so I took it completely out of the mix. Then I discovered the NRX 842S SJR and it felt perfect. Picked up a Sustain ...

*NEW* Spinning Rod
I have the opportunity to pick up a new spinning rod - and what will be my only spinning rod - and am trying to decide between these three rods: GLX 852S JWR, NRX 852S JWR, and NRX 872S JWR. A few different questions for those who have any experiences with any of the three: • What do you use it for?...

Tennessee Bassin'
Heading to Nashville just after Christmas and was wondering what good fishing is available nearby. I'd like to get a guide and would love to catch a striper on the fly or standard bass gear!
Any tips or info is greatly appreciated.
p.s. driving down from the great white north!

Re: NRX 916C UBR
Hmmm...I guess it would depend on the round reel. If it was like an Abu Garcia 5500C3, I would say it might not feel right (the reel seat and handle in this rod are not oversized like they seem to be on the heavier G Loomis Swimbait Rods). I have some smaller round baitcasters, like the old Bass Pr...

Re: NRX 916C UBR
I have both the 916 and 895. When I get a chance, I will go to my local pond and throw some frogs with each and let you know how they feel. I originally chose to pick up the 916 but changed my mind last minute and went with the 895. Finally got it last week. Been waiting since July so I missed my c...

Re: Core 50 line options
I have mine spooled with 30 lb. braid… casted well last time out a few weeks ago. I've tried my 100 spooled with 10 lb. before so I'd love to try 8 lb. with it!
