Re: Itching for another high end spinning reel
Daiwa got screwed on Magsealed concept. To be too greedy in most cases is not good for the business.

Re: HELP needed with Steez SV Limited (line doesn't lay even
Thank you for your responses! Hogsticker2 I done that, positioned the line guide in the middle, cast out all line and retrieve it back with 3/4Oz. hoohoorjoo I understand your point, however how I mentioned earlier didn't want to see any imperfections on that high-end reel. Found a picture with simi...

Re: HELP needed with Steez SV Limited (line doesn't lay even
Thank you for your responses. I agree - it doesn't effect performance, the reel casts very well.
Just a visual imperfection, which makes me unsatisfied seeing it on high end Daiwa product.
Still looking for suggestions or opinions

HELP needed with Steez SV Limited (line doesn't lay evenly)
Since I bought my Daiwa Steez SV Limited noticed line doesn't spool perfectly like on the rest of my baitcasters. I know how to fix the issue if line winds more toward the left or right side of the spool, in my case the line in middle lower approximately 1.5mm vs left or right side of the spool. Whe...

Re: Super Expensive Braids - Any worth the money
If you use that braid on a spinning tackle and you need a loooong cast - it is worth it. When I fished from the bank, and I wanted to reach schooling fish with topwater or 110 I been using braid like Varivas Seabass MaxPower, mostly in diameters 0.8,1,1,2 PE. Since I switch to boat/kayak and baitcas...

Re: Best $300ish baitcaster for skipping jigs around docks
How are you guys avoiding backlash? I'm always hesitant to skip with a baitcaster because of it. I dial my brakes what I even don't have to do thumbing. It's important consistently cast with proper angle and pay attention how far from you jig hits the water first, if it hits water too close it will...

Re: Best $300ish baitcaster for skipping jigs around docks
I would go with Daiwa, just because of the magnetic brakes, it is easy to skip.
Never could figured out how to skip with centrifugal brake system.

Re: Shipping fishing company poll
2pcs rods overseas - USPS Priority Mail or Express Mail
1 pcs rods US - Fedex Ground
Never had a problem.
Does anyone know what is the cheapest method to ship a rod (let say 6 feet) to Japan?

Re: keeping grease on gears
Use better quality grease!
I would never put that grease on any of my reels.
Shimano DG series are great, same as ZPI F0. Cal's I heard is good, IOS from Japan is excellent.

Which shorty/shower Blows style bait brand is the best?
Never owned that style of topwater bait. Which one do you think is the best to have and what size? So far I recall seeing: Evergreen Shorty/Shower Blows http://www.thehookuptackle.com/product-images/megabassgiantdogxayu600.jpg Ima Little Stik 135 http://cdn3.volusion.com/9j7vu.jw4f2/v/vspfiles/photo...

Re: Furthest Casting LP baitcaster?
I owned the Daiwa Z with both stock and shallow spools and it was a great caster, fc lines included. Also owned the T3 reels and their variations, T3 Air included, SLP editions with SLP special shallow spools and so on. The Steez limited edition with SV spool was a great caster, too. The Morethan P...

Re: Furthest Casting LP baitcaster?
But, for all-round MH fishing, there is a new casting king in my stable: the Daiwa Morethan PE SV 8.1-L TW.That SV spool in combination with T-Wing is something to behold. But the Morethan PE SV is in a casting league of its own. That's legit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPUFS4RSnwY I somehow o...

Have same results - T3 SV (orange spool) and FX68 with same purple SLP SV spool - my best casting reels.Nevrsumma wrote:For me the clear winners in sheer distance are my T3 SV and FX68 Viola with the purple SLP SV Spool installed,
