Re: Furthest Casting LP baitcaster?
But, for all-round MH fishing, there is a new casting king in my stable: the Daiwa Morethan PE SV 8.1-L TW.That SV spool in combination with T-Wing is something to behold. But the Morethan PE SV is in a casting league of its own. That's legit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPUFS4RSnwY I somehow o...

Re: Furthest Casting LP baitcaster?
Any personal experience you could share? My personal experience with Daiwa reels only, my best casters are Daiwa T3 SV and Megabass FX68 with SV spool, both reels has Magforce 3D braking system, Steez SV Limited about 10% behind, weights in between 3/8 to 3/4Oz, never owned any new generation Shima...

Re: Furthest Casting LP baitcaster?
Great thread with a lot of discussion. I would suggest you in the future specify the rod, line, the lure unless you gonna be getting answers like that. Keep in mind line diameter, lure weight and rod taper/action have more effect on distance than the reel itself. I truly believe all reels are gonna ...

Megabass Xpod/Xpod Jr. discussion
How do you guys rate those topwater baits. I own one (Xpod Jr.) and I can't say it is a great lure. I have much better success using a straight Dog-X's or Pop-X's. Also, I closely watch bass pro circuits and pay attention what pros use - I never heard any of them mentioned those baits. Which is stra...

Guys!
What is the difference between that reel and Steez SV Limited?
Just knobs and body finish?

Re: JDM Chatterbait
Use Imakatsu and Megabass (haven't caught a fish yet), also recently bought a Deps 3/8 Oz Have a Z-Man, but it came with a dull hook in the beginning, and I don't have a confidence to throw it, since I have so many JDM's haven't seen water yet :) I heard O.S.P. chatterbaits are awesome. How good the...

Re: Tatula HLC
I bought one about couple weeks ago. Here is the thread with pics http://forums.tackletour.com/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=64884&hilit=HLC HLC spool weight - 15.5g I don't know if Tatula HLC would outcast standard Tatula, right now my T3 SV, or FX68 with SV spool can outcast that Daiwa HLC by 10 yards on L...

Re: August Bass Fishing Trip Pictures
WOW! Would never believe it could be so good LM fishing in Canada!
Excellent pics! Those LM bass look like true football shape. Not really often I can see so healthy bass in local waters.

Re: storing baitcast reels
Daiwa suggests to loose drag (same applies for spinning reels) for storage.
Never seen any instructions for CC knob or mag dial. I think it's not necessary.

Re: Costa del Mar 580g green tint ???
I used to have the green mirror, sold them because I didn't like the frame. Costa considers green mirror for inshore saltwater fishing. This is a great lens color for sunny days. A little bit too dark for cloudy days or when the sun as not as bright (cold months). Now I have the silver mirror lens a...
Re: SV 103?
Just wondering, so many folks visited ICAST and no one could ask or measure those spools, and see if they could fit to old Zillions.
And it's funny how Daiwa still can't answer these questions.
