Personally I think its ok. Works like a spook if you ask me with better colors. I'd rather have a Sammy or gunfish over a bowstick personally because I like the actions of those baits a lot better.

For 150 retail Its hard to beat a tatula. If you look around on a few websites the tatula can be had for under 100$ curado I for 150$

I'd check out the new powell 3d rods, shimano crucials, and the daiwa tatulas as well. that's what id look into if I was in the market for one.

Bait casting has been all I use. I don't even own a spinning outfit. For my fishing needs I just don't see where a spinning outfit will do any better then my casting combos

I personally like a glass rod for topwaters with treble hooks, you can still walk sammys, spooks or what have you fine in my opinion and the hook up to catch ration is also noticeably more in your favor. id give it a try.

You can also just use a punch skirt. Gives you that jig preservation with the weight and hook you want
