Re: Nrx or Megabass for lighter stuff??
I use both the NRX 822 DSR and the Destroyer Addermine. I like both of them. I feel like the NRX with a 2500 CI4 Stradic balances very well and feels lighter than the Addermine with the same reel. The more I use the NRX, the more I like it. In fact I picked up a 902 NRX recently as well. The Addermi...

Re: Conquest 905C balance
I use a Curado 300 on mine when it is used for A rigs and the balance is fine.

Re: Daiwa Steez Rods
I've been on the fence about either the Steez 7'6" MML spinning rod or waiting for the NRX 901 and 902 to come out in the near future or possibly the Conquest 902. I've read and heard from a variety of folks about the guides on the Daiwas breaking. I do like the fact the Steez will cover what both t...

Re: Super tough bite! Help
I would try a spybait and an underspin with a small swimbait style bait. What type of baitfish are in this particular lake?

Re: Is there a better deep jerkbait than the staysee 90
Another to look at is the older Rapala Depp X-Raps. I've had very good luck with and they run true out of the package. Although, it is very hard to beat the Staysee 90!

NRX 901 SJR Special Run
Is it true that Loomis is talking about a special run on this blank? Have heard they were considering a one-time run on the 901 and 902. Can anyone confirm if and when they might do this?

Re: New Poison Adrena
Just picked up a new 6'11" and used it this past weeknd. Very nice rod overall and appers to be very versatile. I'm hoping the blank is not too stiff for throwing 110's and pointer 100's.

Re: Megabass rods
Rob, I'm with you. Very unimpressed with the US line overall. Have had a few breakage issues, but overall not too bad. The Gen 2 Orchi is a dud IMO. Gen 1 are just a better rod at least for me.

I've been using the Conquest 905 for swimbaits and Alabama Rigs and love it. The rod can handle baits up to 3 ounces.

Re: thinking of a new bottom contact rod
I've owned both the 904 and Valdivia. I still have the 904 and love it. The Valdivia was nice, but was not impressed with it as a jig or texas rig rod. It excelled as a carolina rig rod in my opinion, but I wanted something that could do that as well throw a t-rig and jig and feel the 904 does all o...
