Re: Loose Curado in loomis MBR783c reel seat

I have been using my Curado 300 on the new Loomis swimbait rods with no problems. It sounds like Fuji may have some issues with QC and not Loomis.

Re: Shimano Repair Services and parts

We provide parts for discontinued models for 5-7 years after they have been discontinued. This will last even longer depending on the amount of reels sold during the lifespan of the model. The Curado B model reels were very popular and parts should be around for a while.

Re: Scorpion vs. Chronarch

I would recommend the Chronarch. The extra money that you save is cheap insurance. We provide a warranty and offer parts for the Chronarch. We do not always have parts for the Scorpion model (appearance parts) and we do not provide a warranty for the JDM model reels.

Re: shimano acronyms

F designates front drag (Rear drag will use an R) and the second letter shows the generation. For example the reels will start as an F, then FA, FB etc;

Re: Shimano Corsair

We will send you a bill after you receive the reels back. The age of the reels does not matter. We will replace the reels with the same size as the reels that you send in. The Catala has been discontinued. The replacement for the Catala is the Corvalus. It is slightly cheaper than the Catala by abou...

Re: Calcutta 400TE issue

I advise you to send the reel to us for repair. It could be a faulty idle gear, worm gear or pawl.

Re: shimano castaic or curado in sub freezing weather?

Typically the grease is freezing. I have fished in cold weather (25-30 degrees) with no problems excpet for a cold reel in my hand. If you find the reel binding then you should try our Perma-lube grease. This has superior performance in cold weather. I placed a tub of the grease in our freezer for 2...

Re: Spare Spools for Curado B? and Curado D

Yes the spools are still available for the 201B.

The spools for the 100D will work in the Curado 100B model and Chronarch 50MG. The spools from the 200D will not work in the 200B models.

Please call 877-577-0600 to order the spools.

Re: Reaction Innovations Vixen

I think they are #4 Gamakatsu or maybe VMC. I use all Owner ST36 #4 hooks on my Vixens and they work just fine. I think the Jr. uses #6?

Re: stradic drag

The decision to move production to Malaysia was made by Shimano Japan. The current Twin Power is now being manufactured in Malaysia, or at least this is what I was told by the Malaysia QC Team that was here last month. The Twin Power is actually above the Sustain as far as features. It is in between...

I would have done the same for any of our customers across the pond. Obtaining parts sounds pretty difficult in Europe so I sent the extra set just in case.

Glad to help out as always!
