ZPI suggests to apply a grease on a baitcaster's wormshaft. That weight fluctuation doesn't look good for Loomis...
Ideally if Loomis could announce blank's weight for each model for current rods they make and several years ago.

I always thought lighter line or fluoro vs braid would give you more bites, until A-rigs became so popular with consistent tournament winning results. And they still bite those baits attached to those heavy metal wires. Seems to be doesn't matter for bass. Trout, perch, other species might be differ...

I doubt it make any difference on that level. The guys can catch fish on any tackle.
Otherwise everyone would fish with high end tackle.

In that case Megabass is incorrect when they rate their MH rods as 3/8-1 Oz.

I never had to claim anything, however I know rod sellers who claimed some damaged rods when customers received them, even overseas, never had problems.
