Re: Quantum Customer Service

yes! the only issue with that is that car dealers/parts departments don't sell the lug nuts with the wheels... True- but Quantum should be able to give you the specs on the screw, washer, etc so you can purchase it yourself. I'm pretty sure that the screws they use are not proprietary to Quantum. R...

Re: Quantum Customer Service

So using that logic- if you lose a lug nut on your car, you should buy a whole new wheel package and keep it as a spare? When you're charging hundreds of dollars for a reel, you should be prepared to sell all parts on that reel. If Quantum's competitors are providing professional and courteous custo...

Re: Quantum Customer Service

I've had CS interaction with Daiwa, Quantum, Okuma and Penn. I've needed to purchase small parts, repair reels under warranty and repair rods under warranty. Daiwa, Okuma and Penn had no issues and mailed parts to me for free without even having to send in the broken part. This was small pieces such...

Re: Cork cleaner

I've used toothpaste on a cloth, no water and it works great. Rub it on and wipe it off. I have also used baby wipes in a pinch and it has aloe in it which keeps the cork from drying out. No issues with either as far as making the cork slippery of taking off layers of cork.

Re: Are Trokar's worth the money?

I will use the same owner cps worm hook for 5-10 fish and have never lost a fish because the hook point dulled. I like to fish for toothy creatures- pike, pickerel, musky.

Re: Are Trokar's worth the money?

To the people who use Gama's or Owner's, how many fish have you lost because of the hook point on the set? Is that perceived difference worth the extra 4-5 dollars in price per pack? I say no since in my experience, I've never lost a fish because of the hook point on an Owner hook.

Re: Hollow body swimbaits

the whole thing, body and tail. And it's too light to rig it without a weighted hook unless you really want to slow drag it. You'll lose tail action if you reel that slowly though. I rig it with a 5/0 1/16oz belly hook and it works fine.

Re: If you had $500 for a rod and reel what would you choose

if it was today, i'd buy a cumara 7'2'' ML spinning rod from TW for 1/2 price  130$ and a CI4 w/ the 200$ saved i'd buy a ton of baits and jig making supplies like 25 packs of yama shad shapes a ton of jig heads and enough silicone and bucktail for a hundred jigs Agreed. I've fished with $10...

Re: What hooks do you like most when using a plastic worm?

Owner twistlock standard or light, weighted or unweighted. No finer hooks on the market, points rarely go dull (I've caught multiple pike, pickerel and bass on the same hook and it's still as sharp as day one) and they maintain their finish. Also, the cps on the hook is a much better screw-in option...

Re: Rick Clunn Cranks LC VS LES

quick search of the uspto site shows no patents held by Lucky Craft on a suspending lure. No patent infringement of any kind on this lure, so knockoffs are legal.

Re: best rods for fishing from a yak or canoe due to length!

I have a 14' scanoe and fish it with a 7' mh rod for pads and weeds. Never had an issue with the length of the rod, hard hooksets or fighting fish and I've caught some pike with this setup. I have a 3 year old boy who has since wanted to go out with me and I bought a pontoon stability kit for the ca...
